Board of Directors

An outside Board, including highly qualified business and industry professionals / experts, will assist our management team in making appropriate decisions and taking the most effective action; however, they will not be responsible for management decisions. In addition to Dr. Staab and Mr. Detroyer, the Company currently has four board members.

Joseph Augeri
Consultant,
Advisory Board, Cosmetics Plus Inc.,
former Executive Vice President, L'Oreal.

Mr. Augeri has over forty years experience in the field of cosmetics and personal care products. Now retired, he had a long and successful career with Revlon, before moving to L'Oreal's U.S. arm, Cosmair. Over his 20-year career at Cosmair, Mr. Augeri was generally responsible for introducing the Lancome brand into the U.S. and managing that brand, a business that currently generates revenues of approximately $300 million annually. He is recognized as one of the legends of the U.S. cosmetics industry, and has numerous awards in recognition of his accomplishments. In the four years before his retirement, Mr. Augeri worked exclusively in the international markets for the parent company, L'Oreal. He currently consults internationally. Joe is also a member of the Advisory Board of Cosmetics Plus, Inc., a cosmetics superstore in the New York metro area.

Charles P. Goodell
Attorney,
Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Gray

For almost twenty years, Mr. Goodell has specialized as defense trial counsel for product liability lawsuits, particularly in the are of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. His first major experience began in 1977 with A.H. Robins. Since then, he has been associated the company in connection with products liability suits arising from the use of the Dalkon Shield intrauterine device. He was a member of the national trial team, developing and implementing national defense strategies. From 1991 to 1996, he served as Southeast Regional Counsel for the Dalkon Shield Claimants Trust.
Beginning in 1985, Mr. Goodell has represented Pfizer, Inc. concerning the litigation involving mechanical heart valves. He is again a member of the national defense team. In this capacity, he has defended the company in hearings before the U.S. House of Representatives. Mr. Goodell analyzes product liability ramifications of medical device introductions and corporate acquisitions.
Since 1987, he has served as co-national trial counsel for Bayer in their litigation involving hemophiliac's exposure to HIV from the alleged use of blood clotting factor products. He is also national products liability and trial counsel for U.S. Borax, and national coordinating counsel and lead trail counsel for Telectronics, a manufacturer of pacemakers.

Michelle Harrison

Michelle Harrison, M.D. is a physician, writer, teacher, and leader in women's health. She consults and lectures internationally about women's health and other related health policy issues. Harrison is the author of A Woman in Residence (Random House 1982; Ballantine 1993), The Pre-teen's First Book About Love, Sex, and AIDS (American Psychiatric Press Inc., 1995), and Self-Help for Premenstrual Syndrome (Random House, Third Edition, 1998).
Harrison's experience includes five years with Johnson & Johnson. From 1994-1997, she was the Worldwide Director of Medical Affairs in the consumer division, and then from 1997-1999 was the Executive Director of the Johnson & Johnson Institute for Children. Harrison holds an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, UMDNJ.
