Chapter 512 Brilliant Skills

"What are you doing?" Lucci glanced at Trafalgar, ignoring his attempt to stop him.

"What are you doing?" Law frowned as he watched the Straw Hat crew leave, and was a little annoyed by Lucci's nonchalant attitude. "Don't do anything unnecessary."

Lucci broke free from Law's hand, walked to the door, and casually leaned against the wall to observe the group of marines at the door. Their noisy and boisterous manner made them look nothing like normal marines, but rather like a bunch of thug pirates.

Tashigi stared at the man standing next to Law, noticing the slightly overly long blond hair under the black brim of his hat. Her mouth opened and closed repeatedly, and in this series of thoughts, Tashigi finally came to an answer.

She was sweating nervously as she pointed out to Smoker who the man who had suddenly appeared next to Law was: "Lieutenant Admiral Smoker! That man is Monkey D. Lucci, with a bounty of 900 million Berries!"

"Whitebeard Pirate! Why are you here?!" Smoker recognized him, but he never expected him to be here. He demanded sharply, "What are you and Trafalgar Law up to on this island?! What's your relationship with him?!"

Lucci looked up at the agitated Smoker with a blank expression, and said calmly, "I have no obligation to answer you."

"Don't tell me the Whitebeard Pirates and the Shichibukai Trafalgar Law are allies!?" Smoker speculated, his eyes wide, the discovery almost making him drop his cigar.

Lucci looked at Smoker speechlessly. "Lieutenant General Smoker, I think you've made too many pointless speculations."

"Then why are you here?!" Smoker shouted, a cigarette dangling from his lips. The questions weighing on his mind were piling up, and he needed to get the answers from here.

“None of your business,” Lucci said casually. “Besides, why would I leak information to the Navy?”

Smoker bit down hard on his cigar butt, glaring angrily at the man in front of him. Then he shifted his furious gaze to Law beside him. Pirates are pirates after all; they're all cunning bastards. Even the Seven Warlords of the Sea recognized by the World Government can never be trusted. "Didn't you say you were alone?!"

While Vice Admiral Smoker was confronting the two pirates, Tashigi realized that the Straw Hat crew's sudden appearance was a convenient pretext for a search, and quickly ordered, "Attention everyone, capture the Straw Hat crew!"

"Those guys got me into trouble!" Law gritted his teeth as he watched the Marines rushing towards the gate. "ROOM!"

A thin blue film instantly enveloped the area, including the naval warships that had arrived. Luo pointed upwards and said, "Command baton."

As he raised his finger, the massive warship on the sea, along with the riverbed, floated upside down in the air. Luo calmly watched the opposing navy draw their swords. "It was wrong of me to say there was no one here..."

"Get back! You lot deserve to be torn to pieces by him!" Smoker gripped his weapon and ordered the navy behind him.

"Ouch, I've been slashed!"

"Huh? Still alive!"

"Don't get in the way. Get out of here. Once you're inside Luo's circle, consider yourself a patient on his operating table!" Smoker warned the Marines who rushed in to help, while smoke billowed from his body.

"Go find the back door!"

"Hey, didn't I tell you to let me go back?! The man who slashed me was the one who just attacked me!"

"Is your body really with him?"

"No, I'm afraid that's not necessarily true..."

"We can talk about this later. Let's take these children out first!"

"We can't let those guys get away..." Luo frowned as he listened to the commotion behind him. "ROOM!"

"What are you doing?" Lucci frowned as he looked at Law's gesture. From what he observed, this should be the gesture Law would make when releasing his Devil Fruit power, but he did not detect any malice in his actions.

"Just teaching some guys a lesson," Luo said calmly.

“They are my partners,” Lucci warned softly.

Law glanced at Lucci in surprise, not expecting this answer. He had only thought that Lucci was involved with Straw Hat Luffy. Nevertheless, Law still made a move towards the research institute, thrusting his sword straight into the air and creating "Chaotic Space".

Lucci frowned as he watched Law's actions, but he didn't sense any malice from him. Law was a smart man and wouldn't do anything that would break their cooperation after such a warning.

“I don’t know what you’re trying to do. My cooperation with you…” Lucci said calmly, “is just to retrieve that thing as soon as possible.”

"Me too." Luo didn't say much, just replied like this, then reached out towards the warship, twirling his fingers to casually control the floating objects in the air.

"Lo, what exactly is your purpose?" Smoker asked grimly. "Give us back the ship."

"Alright, but I can't return it to you like before." Luo smirked and swung his sword at the floating warship.

"He cleaved the warship in two with a single stroke!" the sailors exclaimed in shock as they watched the warship being split in two in mid-air.

"It's going to fall!"

The sailors began to flee in panic from beneath the warships.

"Let's retreat for now, Vice Admiral. This guy's abilities are too bizarre!" one of the marines exclaimed in alarm, looking at the rocks above that had been cut into pieces and were floating in the air.

"I won't let anyone escape!" Luo smiled, twirling his two tattooed fingers as he casually manipulated the rocks and warships to reassemble.

"The Seven Warlords of the Sea are directly under the government's control. Your attack on us violates the agreement! Trafalgar, we will report this to headquarters! We will strip you of your title!!"

"Don't worry." Luo expressionlessly held the knife vertically in front of him, his palm tracing the blade. "Scan."

A blue light swept across the Navy, and the next second, the locations where they stored Den Den Mushi on their bodies began to glow. Law casually grabbed all the Den Den Mushi from the Navy's bodies.

"He stole all the Den Den Mushi!"

"I won't let you report everything you saw on this island to the Marine Headquarters and the World Government!" Law said with a grim face, his expression frightening, at least the Marines were completely terrified.

"Don't get too cocky, you mere pirate!" Smoker's lower body transformed into smoke as he raised his weapon and attacked Law. "You're a free-growing cyborg with the Op-Op Fruit, aren't you!"

Law dodged Smoker's attack by sidestepping and swung his sword at Smoker's body, but he dodged it. However, the marines behind him were not so lucky; their bodies were cut in two, but their bodies were still moving even after being cut in half.

Lucci stood aside leisurely watching Law's duel with the Marines, appreciating the magnificent yet strange visual feast that Law brought with his ability. This guy's skillful use of his Devil Fruit ability was fascinating, and his skills were also very interesting. There are not many people who can control Devil Fruits, especially those who use them so skillfully, but this also reflects Trafalgar's focus on his own training.
