Chapter 729: Bennett and Mika's Adventure Story
Chapter 1: Mysterious Letter
On that sunny morning in the small town, Bennett opened his mailbox as usual. Inside was a strange letter. There was no sender's name on the envelope, only a line of crooked words: "Bennett, if you want to start a wonderful adventure, open me." Bennett frowned, but a surge of curiosity surged in his heart. He looked around, the kitten on the street was lazily basking in the sun, the aunt next door was watering the flowers, everything was so normal, but this letter was like a stone thrown into his peaceful life.
Bennett called Mika over, and Mika's eyes lit up when he saw the letter. "This must be something interesting, Bennett, let's open it and take a look." Mika said excitedly. Bennett hesitated for a moment, but still nodded. They opened the letter, and the handwriting in the letter was very sloppy. It read: "The ancient ruins hide great secrets. Only the bravest can solve the puzzle and find the lost treasure. If you have the courage, go to the mysterious mountain outside the town."
"Wow, treasure!" Mika jumped up excitedly, "Bennett, let's go on an adventure." Bennett looked at Mika's expectant eyes and was also infected by her enthusiasm. "Okay, but we have to prepare first."
They returned home, dug out old backpacks and flashlights, and bought some dry food and water at the grocery store. After everything was ready, they secretly set off for the mysterious mountain outside the town without telling the adults. Along the way, Mika was like a cheerful little bird, chirping about his longing for adventure. "Bennett, what do you think the treasure will look like? Is it a box of gold or a huge gem?" Bennett smiled and said, "I don't know, but it must be exciting."
When they reached the foot of the mountain, the sun was already setting. The mountain looked a little eerie in the afterglow, and the trees on the mountain were dim. Mika shuddered, but still said bravely: "Let's go, Bennett, maybe there will be a surprise waiting for us ahead." So, the two little figures walked into the forest, and an adventure full of unknowns began.
Chapter 2: Adventure in the Forest
After entering the forest, Bennett and Mika found that this road was not easy to walk on. The branches scratched their skin and the thorns pulled their clothes. Mika accidentally tripped over a vine and fell to the ground. "Ah, it hurts!" Mika screamed. Bennett quickly ran over to help her up, "Are you okay? Be careful."
Just as they continued to move forward, they suddenly heard a strange cry. The sound was like the roar of some large animal, echoing in the mountains and forests. Mika was so scared that he grabbed Bennett's arm tightly, "Bennett, could it be a tiger or some other beast?" Bennett was also a little nervous, but he tried to calm himself down. "Let's keep quiet and slowly see what it is."
They approached the sound carefully, only to find that it was a large wild boar trapped in a hunter's trap. When the wild boar saw them, its eyes were filled with anger and fear. "It turned out to be it. Should we save it?" Mika asked. Bennett thought for a moment and said, "It's innocent. Let's release it first. Maybe it will help us."
They finally got the wild boar out of the trap with great effort. After the wild boar broke free, it did not leave immediately, but looked at them and ran deep into the forest. Bennett and Mika breathed a sigh of relief and continued on their way. But not long after they walked, they found that they were lost. The trees around them all looked the same, and they didn't know which direction to go.
Just when they were anxious, a glowing elf appeared in front of them. The elf flew over, circled around them, and then flew in one direction. "Follow it, maybe it can lead us out." Bennett said. So they followed the elf through the forest. The elf didn't fly very fast, and Bennett and Mika could barely keep up. Along the way, they saw many wonders that can only be seen in the forest at night, the light belts formed by fireflies, like a dreamy mushroom circle.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, the elf stopped in front of a cave. The cave was dark, and the sound of dripping water could be heard from time to time. "This is where we are taking you." The elf said, and then disappeared into the darkness. Bennett and Mika looked at each other, but they knew that the real adventure had just begun.
Chapter 3: Cave Puzzle
Bennett and Mika mustered up their courage and walked into the cave. The cave was damp and dark, and the walls were covered with strange symbols and patterns. They turned on the flashlight, and the light flickered on the cave wall. "These symbols look so ancient, Bennett, what do you think they mean?" Mika asked. Bennett looked at the symbols carefully and shook his head, "I don't know, but I think this may be related to the clues of the treasure."
They walked forward along the cave and encountered the first puzzle. In the center of the cave was a stone platform with a groove on it. Next to the groove were a few words engraved: "Only a sincere heart can open this door." Bennett and Mika were stunned. They didn't understand what this meant. Mika tried to put the small ornaments he carried with him into the groove, but there was no response.
At this moment, Bennett remembered the time when they rescued the wild boar in the forest. "Perhaps sincerity is related to kindness." Bennett said, and took out some herbs they had collected in the forest from his backpack. These herbs were originally intended to treat possible wounds. Bennett put the herbs in the groove, and suddenly, the stone platform emitted a burst of light, and the wall next to it slowly opened, revealing a new passage.
"Wow, we succeeded!" Mika shouted excitedly. They continued walking along the newly opened passage and encountered another puzzle. This puzzle was a huge chessboard with chess pieces carved from stone. There was a sign next to the chessboard that read: "You can only move forward if you defeat your opponent with wisdom."
Bennett and Mika looked at the chessboard, not knowing what to do. They knew nothing about chess. Just as they were worried, Mika noticed that the chess pieces on the board were a little different. "Bennett, look, these chess pieces seem to be grouped in different colors." Bennett took a closer look and found that the chess pieces were divided into three groups: red, blue, and green. "Maybe this is not an ordinary chess game. We need to arrange or move the chess pieces according to color."
They began to try to move the chess pieces. After some exploration, they found that they could solve the puzzle by moving all the red pieces to one side of the board, the blue pieces to the other side, and the green pieces in the middle. When they finished the operation, the board made a roar, the ground cracked, and a staircase appeared. Bennett and Mika looked at each other, excited and nervous. They knew that they might be getting closer to the treasure, but the road ahead would definitely be more dangerous.
