Chapter 127: Unexpectedly Dropping the Vest
Chapter 127: Unexpectedly Dropping the Vest
Avro took the box from Percy and opened the lid under his burning gaze.
The box contains an ornament in the shape of a classic Egyptian black cat. The squatting black cat looks adorable, and its golden eyes seem to reveal majesty. The forehead, neck and arms of the black cat are decorated with golden decorations with Egyptian characteristics, exuding a mysterious color.
"This is Bastet, the Egyptian cat god." Percy reached out and took out the small ornament and put it in Aphrodite's hand. "How do you like it?"
Afro poked the tip of Buster's little ear with her finger, her eyes full of fondness, "It's so cute! Thank you, Percy!"
She leaned over and gave Percy a virtual hug, and the brief physical contact made Percy's heart tremble.
He didn't know when he developed so many feelings for Afulo. Perhaps as early as the opening ceremony, he had already paid attention to the girl who was standing in the freshman team and looking around cautiously.
Or maybe it was on the way back to the lounge, when Afro was standing in front of the railing in a daze with his eyes shining, which reminded him of the greedy Niffler in the book.
After expressing her gratitude, Avro took the initiative to let go of the hand that was hugging him, but Percy still supported his cheek with one hand, watching her playing with Buster without moving his eyes, and occasionally smiling and saying something to Ginny.
George poked Fred's arm, motioning him to look at their absent-minded brother. Fred smiled slyly, secretly took out his wand, and waved it in the air a few times.
The badge of the Head Boy that Percy always wore on his collar had changed. It was still the Gryffindor colors, but the words on it had changed.
"The biggest fool in the world!"
Percy soon discovered the clue. He first restored the badge to its original appearance, and then stared angrily at Fred and George who were laughing wildly.
"What? Percy, are you going to deduct points from us?" Fred leaned against the wall with his body tilted sideways. His loose look made Percy even more angry!
George's eyes were filled with teasing. He walked forward, put his hands on Afro's shoulders, and smiled as if he deserved a beating. "This is not school. You have no right to do this!"
"Oh! Fred Weasley, George Weasley, you have violated the school rules and will be deducted five points!" Fred imitated what Percy often did at Hogwarts, using one hand as parchment and the other as a quill to write and draw on the palm of his hand.
Percy stood up suddenly, and Fred and George were prepared, and immediately ran around the long table, with the sound of Molly's collapse mixed in from time to time.
"Fred! George! Stop!"
"Oh Percy stop them!"
Harry heard a familiar voice coming from downstairs and ran out of the room excitedly. Before he walked down the stairs, he saw Afro chatting with Ginny and Hermione through the gap between the railings.
Fred and George didn't know what they had done to cause Percy to chase them around the table. Ron clapped his hands and cheered on the side, not sure if he was supporting the twins or his brother who had just become President of the Head Boy.
"Harry!" Afro was the first to spot Harry standing on the stairs, her eyes sparkling as if they contained thousands of stars. Her light blond curly hair was spread out behind her head, revealing only a section of her fair and soft neck.
Harry's eyes were fixed on Afro's neck, and his vision suddenly became vague.
The handsome man with a jade-faced face has blushing ears.
When Ron heard what Afro said, he turned around and looked at his good friend whom he hadn't seen for more than a month. His freckled face was full of excitement.
"Harry, I heard that you want to blow up your aunt?" As soon as Ron met Harry, he couldn't help but want to ask him about the rumor he heard from his father. He thought Harry was so cool!
Harry laughed awkwardly a few times, his blue-green eyes secretly glanced at the girl who was chatting and laughing with Ginny, and then he answered Ron's question vaguely.
"No, where did you hear that?"
"Dad said so. You know he works at the Ministry."
Molly, who had finally stopped the naughty child from making a fuss, was happier to see Harry than to see her own son. She held Harry's cheeks and kissed him on both sides.
"Harry, long time no see!" Molly put down Harry's embarrassed face and found the one that belonged to Harry among a pile of colorful gift boxes. "This is your gift."
Harry was already accustomed to Molly's enthusiasm. He took the gift with a smile and did not forget to express his gratitude.
"Let's go to Diagon Alley together tomorrow. School is about to start." Hermione took out a long list, which listed the textbooks she needed this semester.
Ron's jaw dropped when he saw the piece of paper that was longer than half his arm.
"Of course! I've been waiting for you!" Afro raised his hand to close his jaw to prevent him from losing his mouth.
"Hermione, you are simply a study maniac."
Hermione grinned at her sheepishly, and Afro noticed that Hermione's teeth had become straighter than before.
"Hermione, your teeth—"
"Isn't this ugly?" Hermione frowned and covered her mouth. With uncertainty and hesitation in her eyes, she lowered her head and was unwilling to raise it again.
Afro saw that Hermione seemed to have misunderstood her meaning and quickly opened her mouth to add the second half of the sentence, "I want to say, how did you become so beautiful."
"Really?" Hermione took out a small mirror and looked at her teeth, which had become neater and smaller. "I asked my dad to help me adjust them. How is it?"
"It looks great. I want to ask my uncle to help me correct it."
"I saw a lot of rare little things in France this time, and I also sent a lot of postcards to that pen pal..."
Although the girls often communicated with each other, chatting face to face would bring them a more intuitive sisterhood. Soon, Ginny joined them, and the three little girls had endless things to talk about.
"I just think it's good..."
“…I don’t want to go through this in the future.”
Arthur, who was enjoying family fun, accidentally saw a wanted poster about Black on the wall. He looked worriedly at Harry who was chatting happily with Ron, and decided to reveal something to him.
So he called Harry away.
Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, noticed that at some point a black dog entered his shop. It might be a spiritual little animal that accidentally stumbled into his shop, so he took a rag to drive the black dog away.
Sirius followed the man's scent and ran to the Leaky Cauldron, but he didn't expect Harry to be there too! Before he got close, he smelled that familiar smell again, and this time he finally remembered where he had encountered it!
It was the smell of the Dementor in Azkaban who had helped him!
The big black eyes scanned the room several times, finally landing on Afro who was surrounded by people.
Sirius, who was approaching, listened to the familiar voice and the increasingly strong smell and was sure that the girl was related to the Dementors!
I've never heard that Dementors can become wizards!
(Bastet is the cat god in ancient Egyptian mythology. Usually depicted as a goddess with a cat's head, she is the deified cat incarnation that helps crops from being destroyed and stolen by mice.
She is also the goddess of love and fertility, the protector of fruits, and the god of the arts of music and dance.
