“If it’s the army, we’re saved!” one of them said excitedly.

“It might not be the military; it could be someone else,” another person suggested.

The three discussed it animatedly, their hearts filled with anticipation and hope.

They desperately hoped that the outside arrival was an army, so that they could be saved.

However, their discussion ultimately led to a chilling conclusion: "No matter what happens outside, this little girl must die!"

They all agreed that regardless of whether she was in the military or not, Izumi Sagiri had to die, otherwise they would all be doomed once she exposed their affair.

Chang Wei led his men in several groups, quickly advancing into the depths of the town, determined to completely eliminate the remaining zombie threat.

However, Chang Wei strolled leisurely alone in the town, as if he were in a tranquil tourist resort.

He wandered through the town's streets, observing the surrounding scenery.

The town is quite large, with a large population, and shops lining both sides of the street, as well as restaurants and supermarkets.

Chang Wei understood that Jinniu Town was a small town mainly based on tourism, with residents relying on selling local specialties for a living.

As he walked, Chang Wei keenly noticed subtle gazes directed at him.

He knew these gazes came from the town's survivors, but they did not approach him for help.

Chang Wei didn't care about this; he believed that Li Xin and the others would handle these matters properly.

Suddenly, three unusual gazes caught Chang Wei's attention.

These gazes came from the same direction and carried a meaning that made him extremely uncomfortable.

A strange killing intent surged in Chang Wei's heart. He frowned, stopped, and looked up.

His gaze met those three gazes in mid-air, as if sparking an invisible flame.

The three people in the attic felt Chang Wei's gaze as sharp as a knife; their eyes stung and a chill ran through them.

"Who is this person? His gaze is so sharp!"

The three were utterly shocked.

They began to speculate that perhaps the recent zombie aggression was caused by this terrifying creature. Faced with such a powerful being, they were filled with awe and fear.

A single glance from him was enough to instill fear in them. If he were to meet their face in person, they even doubted whether they would have the courage to look him in the eye.

"Huh, where did they go?" Suddenly, someone was shocked to find that the figure outside the window had disappeared, and a strange panic welled up in their heart.

The other two also hurriedly peeked out, only to find the street empty and no sign of him.

"Alright, let's put this matter aside for now. No matter what happens outside, we must deal with this little girl."

The three of them withdrew their gaze and instead stared intently at the little girl in front of them, their red light growing even stronger.

"Yes, if the army really comes and finds out we eat people, how could they let us go?" They were anxious, and the blood-red light of the daggers in their hands became even more dazzling.

Saki Izumi's hope was shattered once again, and the nascent life force vanished in an instant.

She closed her eyes tightly and silently prayed, "Mom, come save me."

Just then, a loud "bang" was heard, as if a heavy object had fallen to the ground.

Izumi Sagiri felt a gust of wind pass by, followed by a shrill scream.

She suddenly opened her eyes and saw a tall and imposing figure standing in front of her, with a long sword slung across his back, like a majestic mountain.

She was stunned and speechless as she stared at the man who had suddenly appeared.

Chang Wei looked around, his anger blazing. The skeletal remains on the ground were clearly human bones, and strands of hair floated in the boiling water of the pot—all testifying to the horrific events that had transpired in the room.

Cannibalism, such an heinous crime, has actually occurred in reality.

He caught a glimpse of the tightly bound little girl and the three men with red eyes, and his anger burned even more fiercely.

Chang Wei suddenly unleashed an astonishing killing intent, as if a whirlwind had swept by.

Faced with these shameless scoundrels, Chang Wei was filled with rage, feeling that even tearing them to pieces wouldn't quell his fury.

The three were busy when Chang Wei's sudden appearance interrupted their actions.

They stared at Chang Wei in astonishment, feeling the terrifying aura emanating from him, and their faces turned pale as if they had seen a ghost.

Just then, they saw through the window that many people with guns had appeared outside.

They were overjoyed, believing they were finally saved.

They immediately pressed themselves against the window and shouted to the crowd outside, "Help! Help us!"

Chang Wei watched their performance coldly, his heart filled with sarcasm.

He did nothing; he simply stood there quietly, letting them cry for help.

Because he knew that the best way to torment them was to first give them hope, and then let them despair.

"Haha, the army is here! You thug are dead!"

Seeing the crowd below rush to the scene after hearing the cries for help, the three men turned around triumphantly and shouted loudly at Chang Wei:

"Let me tell you, if you don't leave now, you're dead when the army arrives!"

They thought themselves clever, hoping to use the army to scare Chang Wei away, and then take the opportunity to frame Chang Wei for what happened here.

However, they didn't know that Chang Wei didn't care about any of this.

A disdainful smile curled at the corner of his lips as he turned to look at the young girl, Izumi Sagiri, in front of him.

Izumi Sagiri stared at Chang Wei with wide, curious eyes, a strange feeling welling up inside her.

She thought Chang Wei was so handsome, as warm as sunshine.

This feeling made her a little shy, and a blush rose to her cheeks.

Chang Wei did not notice Izumi Sagiri's unusual behavior. With a light flick of his knife, all the ropes binding Izumi Sagiri's body were severed.

Due to prolonged hunger and weakness, Izumi Sagiri suddenly collapsed to the ground.

Chang Wei reacted quickly and caught her.

Chang Wei stepped forward without hesitation and steadily supported her.

Her pale and weak appearance clearly showed that she was hungry.

In an instant, Chang Wei conjured a piece of bread and a carton of milk in his hand and carefully fed them to the little girl who seemed to have difficulty even eating. He then ignored the three people behind him.

The three men also appeared unusually cautious at this moment, all turning their gazes toward Chang Wei, not daring to make the slightest rash move.

Izumi Sagiri's lips touched the sweet aroma of the bread, and the warmth of the milk slowly flowed into her throat.

A glint of tears welled up in her eyes, the joy that long-awaited food brought her.

She hadn't tasted delicious food in so long, and the sweet aroma filled her with immense happiness. She even wished time could stand still at this moment.

The sound of hurried footsteps echoed in the stairwell, and in an instant, a group of heavily armed soldiers rushed into the room.

The scene before my eyes was shocking:

Scattered on the ground were piles of white bones, and strands of hair and severed limbs occasionally floated up from the boiling water, making the whole room resemble a horrific slaughterhouse.

Unable to bear the horrific scene, one soldier covered his mouth and ran to the side to vomit.

Even seasoned veterans like them never expected to witness such an outrageous scene.

Kawako, who once served as Yoko Okino's deputy, is now in charge of personnel work at the rural base under Ai Hoshino's command, and she also came here with Changwei.

A chilling murderous intent flashed across his face; he would never tolerate such cannibalistic behavior.

However, when his gaze turned to Chang Wei beside him, his expression suddenly changed.

Just as I was about to ask a question, I heard a series of urgent shouts. 20

"Sir, help! Help!"

Three men struggled to crawl towards Chuanzi, pointing tearfully at Chang Wei:

"Sir, it's him! He's trying to kill us! Please save us!"

Seeing this, Izumi Sagiri's eyes flashed with panic. She wanted to explain but couldn't speak, and could only look anxiously at Chang Wei.

Chang Wei, however, remained unconcerned, looking at the three men with a mocking expression. A cold glint flashed in Chuanzi's eyes as he coldly stared at the three men, his tone icy, "What's with the bones on the ground?"

The soldiers behind Chuanzi slowly approached, looking at the three men as if they were dead.

The situation here is already quite clear and requires no further explanation.

However, these three men were completely unaware of Chang Wei's identity and dared to smear him at will.

"Sir, they...it was all this guy who did it!"

The three men cried and accused Chang Wei of the heinous crime of cannibalism, saying, "The three of us couldn't stand it and wanted to save this little girl, but who knew he was so strong? We were no match for him, and he even tried to kill us!"

They tried to cover up the truth with lies, not realizing that this would only hasten their demise.

If they dared to commit such an evil deed, they would surely suffer divine retribution and have no chance of survival. Therefore, they would rather die than admit it.

"No, no, no, it wasn't him who did it..."
