Suddenly, Lian noticed a subtle movement in Vegeta's right shoulder during each attack, seemingly a premonition of his attack. Lian was overjoyed; he knew the opportunity he had been waiting for had arrived.
Chapter 258 Caught off guard
Just as Vegeta launched another attack, Lean pretended to be caught off guard and was hit by Vegeta's punch. But he cleverly used the impact, spinning rapidly in the air while gathering powerful energy in his right fist and slamming it hard into Vegeta's right shoulder.
"Bang!" The punch landed squarely on Vegeta's shoulder, causing him to stagger slightly and reveal a disheveled expression.
"What?" Vegeta's eyes were filled with surprise and anger. He hadn't expected that Lean would be able to find his weakness and launch a counterattack.
“Vegeta, this is just the beginning,” Lean said coldly, then launched his attack. His attacks were like a storm, catching Vegeta off guard.
Vegeta's anger reached its peak. He roared, and the golden aura around his entire body surged instantly: "Damn it, I'll make you pay!" His attacks became even more frenzied, and his power was several times greater than before.
Lian felt immense pressure, but he did not back down. Relying on the system's analysis and his own combat experience, he skillfully deflected Vegeta's every attack.
The battle reached its climax, the two figures moving rapidly through the dim space, each collision producing a deafening sound. The surrounding air seemed to be ignited, filled with an atmosphere of tension.
"Hmph, you think you can defeat me like this?" Vegeta roared as he attacked, "I am Vegeta, the Saiyan Prince!"
Li An didn't answer; his gaze was firm and focused, and the power in his hands continued to gather. He knew that Vegeta had been thoroughly enraged, and the next attack would be even more ferocious.
Sure enough, Vegeta suddenly launched a full-force attack. His body shot towards Li An like a meteor, his fists glowing with golden light, slamming into Li An like two cannonballs.
Li An's expression turned solemn. He quickly mobilized all his inner energy to form a sturdy defensive barrier in front of him. "Boom!" Vegeta's attack slammed heavily into the barrier, the powerful force causing it to tremble violently. Li An's body was also pushed back several meters by the impact.
"Cough cough..." Li An coughed a few times, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth. He knew that Vegeta's strength was indeed formidable, and he could not afford to be careless in the slightest.
"Haha, now you're helpless!" Vegeta was overjoyed to see Lean injured.
Li An wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked coldly at Vegeta: "Vegeta, you're celebrating too soon." With that, he suddenly launched a counterattack. His speed was incredible; like a black lightning bolt, he arrived in front of Vegeta in an instant.
Vegeta was caught off guard by Lean's swift counterattack despite his injuries, and he was momentarily flustered. However, being a powerful Saiyan, he quickly regained his composure and resumed his battle with Lean.
The two exchanged blows, neither giving an inch. Each attack carried a deadly danger, and the surrounding environment grew increasingly desolate in their battle.
"Vegeta, stop being so stubborn." Lian tried to persuade Vegeta while fighting. "This mysterious organization has impure motives, and they will bring disaster to this world."
"Shut up!" Vegeta roared angrily. "I don't need a little bug like you to lecture me."
Chapter 259 It’s not that easy!
Lian shook his head helplessly. He knew that words alone were not enough to persuade Vegeta; he had to bring him to his senses in battle.
Just then, Li An suddenly sensed a mysterious force coming from afar. He was startled, realizing this might be other experts from the mysterious organization. If he were surrounded by them, he would be truly in danger.
"Vegeta, I'll let you off the hook for today." After saying that, Li An quickly backed away, preparing to look for an opportunity to leave.
"Trying to run? Not so easy!" Vegeta wasn't about to let Lean get away so easily, and he immediately gave chase.
Lian ran desperately ahead, with Vegeta hot on his heels. The two weaved through the corridors of the mysterious organization's headquarters, leaving behind a trail of afterimages.
Suddenly, Li An spotted an exit ahead. Overjoyed, he quickened his pace. But just as he was about to reach the exit, a powerful beam of energy shot towards him from the side.
Li An quickly dodged to the side, the energy beam grazing his body and leaving a huge hole in the wall. He looked closely and saw several experts from the mysterious organization standing in front of him.
"Hmph, trying to run? Not so easy," one of the experts from the mysterious organization said with a sneer.
Li An's face turned extremely pale; he knew he was in dire straits. But a resolute light still shone in his eyes; he would never give up.
"Vegeta, it seems we'll have to join forces today," Li An said, looking at Vegeta.
Vegeta snorted coldly: "Who wants to team up with you? But I don't want these guys to capture you."
Just then, the experts from the mysterious organization launched an attack. Lian and Vegeta had no choice but to temporarily put aside their personal grudges and work together to fight these enemies.
The battle erupted again, with Lian and Vegeta clashing with the experts from the mysterious organization. Their figures weaved through the chaos, various energy flashes appearing.
While fighting, Li An searched for an opportunity to break out. He knew that only by leaving this place as soon as possible could he find a way to rescue the hostages.
"Damn it, how are these guys so strong?" Vegeta roared angrily. Although his attacks were powerful, the experts from the mysterious organization coordinated perfectly, and he couldn't break through for a while.
Li An pondered silently, observing the attack methods and positioning of the mysterious organization's experts, trying to find their weaknesses. Suddenly, he discovered that these experts shared a common flaw in their attacks.
"Vegeta, attack their left flank!" Lean shouted.
Although somewhat reluctant, Vegeta did as Lian said. He and Lian launched their attack simultaneously, targeting the left flank of the mysterious organization's experts.
"Boom!" Under the powerful attacks of the two, the defenses of the mysterious organization's experts finally showed a flaw. Lian and Vegeta seized the opportunity to rush out.
They ran frantically, finally shaking off the pursuit of the mysterious organization. Li An stopped, panting heavily. He knew that although their infiltration of the organization's headquarters hadn't yielded any hostages, it hadn't been a complete failure.
"Vegeta, I've taken note of what happened today," Lean said, looking at Vegeta.
Vegeta snorted coldly, "Hmph, next time I see you, I won't hold back." With that, he turned and disappeared into the darkness.
Looking in the direction Vegeta had left, Li An pondered to himself, "This mysterious organization is far more powerful than I imagined. It seems we need to plan carefully before rescuing the hostages."
Chapter 260 A Brand New Challenge
The night was as black as ink, thick and impenetrable, shrouding the entire world in a deathly silence. Li An walked alone through a dimly lit alley, his steps quick yet steady. His face was weary, but his eyes were exceptionally resolute. He clutched a tattered map in his hand—a clue he had painstakingly found regarding the hostages' location. In the previous chapter, he had successfully averted a crisis within the Grim Reaper organization; this time, he faced a completely new challenge.
"Guo Yao, you must be safe and sound," Li An murmured softly, his voice trembling slightly. The thought that Guo Yao might be in danger filled him with a strong sense of unease.
Finally, Li An arrived at an abandoned factory. The factory stood on a barren, overgrown plot of land, its dilapidated walls casting eerie shadows in the moonlight. The factory gates were tightly shut, exuding a sinister atmosphere. Li An took a deep breath and slowly walked forward; he knew the hostages were likely being held inside.
As he approached the gate, he suddenly sensed an unusual aura. He stopped warily and carefully observed his surroundings. He noticed strange lights flickering on the walls on either side of the gate, as if concealing some kind of mechanism.
"It's not that easy after all." Li An frowned, becoming increasingly wary. He cautiously circled the factory, discovering that it was riddled with traps and mechanisms. Some seemingly ordinary stone slabs on the ground would trigger spikes to spring out from the ground if stepped on; hidden arrows were concealed in the cracks in the walls, threatening to strike if one was not careful.
Li An crouched down, carefully examining the mechanism on the ground. Fine beads of cold sweat appeared on his forehead as he nervously pondered a solution. The surroundings were eerily quiet, save for the faint whirring of the mechanism, as if defying him.
"These mechanisms are ingeniously designed; this mysterious organization seems to be quite powerful," Li An muttered to himself, a hint of seriousness in his eyes. He closed his eyes, quickly recalling the knowledge he had acquired, trying to find a way to break the mechanisms.
Just then, a soft footstep sound came from behind. Li An suddenly opened his eyes and quickly turned around, only to see a group of mysterious organization henchmen dressed in black uniforms surrounding him from all directions... They wore black masks, revealing only a pair of cold eyes, and held various weapons, exuding a murderous aura.
"So you're Li An?" the leader of the henchmen asked coldly, his voice filled with disdain. "We've been waiting for you for a long time."
Looking at the enemy before him, Li An felt a surge of intense pressure. He knew that although these henchmen were not individually strong, they outnumbered him and worked together seamlessly, making it difficult to break through their encirclement.
"Where did you hide the hostages?" Li An asked coldly, a hint of anger in his eyes.
"Want to know where the hostages are? Get past us first." The henchman leader sneered, and with a wave of his hand, his minions immediately launched an attack on Li An.
Li An swiftly drew his weapon and charged towards the enemy. The battle erupted instantly, a tense atmosphere filling the air. The henchmen's attacks surged like a tidal wave, and Li An dodged left and right, constantly searching for openings in the enemy's defenses. His figure weaved through the crowd like a black lightning bolt.
Chapter 261 is a bit difficult.
"Hmph, you think you can stop me?" Li An sneered, brandishing his weapon with ferocious speed. He used his agility and superb combat skills to temporarily withstand the enemy's attacks.
However, the enemy's numbers were simply too great, and Li An gradually began to feel the strain. He had already sustained several wounds, and blood stained his clothes. But he did not give up; his eyes revealed unwavering determination, and he held only one belief in his heart: he must rescue the hostages.
"No, this can't go on," Li An thought to himself. He suddenly remembered Bulma, who had been taken hostage. She was a genius scientist from the Dragon Ball world; perhaps she knew how to break these mechanisms.
"Hold on, I'm going to find Bulma," Lian shouted to his companion 13, then took advantage of a brief lull in the enemy's attack and rushed into the factory.
Seeing this, the henchmen immediately gave chase. Lian ran wildly down the factory corridors, with his enemies hot on his heels. As he ran, he surveyed his surroundings, trying to find Bulma's location.
Finally, he found Bulma in a room. Bulma was tied to a chair, surrounded by several henchmen. When she saw Lian enter, a hint of surprise flashed in Bulma's eyes.
“Lian, you’ve finally arrived!” Bulma exclaimed excitedly.
"Bulma, are you alright?" Lian rushed forward and untied the ropes binding Bulma.
"I'm fine, it's just that these guys are awful," Bulma said angrily, rubbing her wrists which were a little numb from being tied up.
"Bulma, do you know how to break through those traps outside?" Lian asked anxiously.
“I know, these mechanisms are a defense system I researched before, and I have a way to break them,” Bulma said, taking a small device out of her pocket.
"Great! With this, we have hope." Li An took the instrument, a relieved smile on his face.
Just then, the henchmen outside caught up and rushed in. Lian and Bulma quickly prepared for battle; they knew a tough fight was ahead.
"Do you think you can stop us like this?" Li An looked coldly at the henchmen who rushed in, a hint of disdain in his eyes.
"Hmph, none of you will leave here alive today," the henchman leader said viciously.
The battle resumed, with Lian and Bulma back-to-back, engaging in fierce combat with the enemy. Using his weapons and the methods provided by Bulma, Lian successfully deciphered some of the traps, hindering the enemy's attacks.
However, the enemy's numbers were simply too great; they surged forward wave after wave, seemingly endless. Lian and Bulma's strength gradually waned, and the situation grew increasingly dire.
"This can't go on, we have to find a way to break through," Li An said, panting heavily.
“I’ll make a jamming device, and you can take the opportunity to rush out,” Bulma said, quickly taking some parts out of her pocket and starting to assemble them.
In no time, Bulma had assembled a small jamming device. She pressed the switch, and the device emitted a bright light and a piercing sound, temporarily disorienting the enemy.
"Now! Let's go!" Lian shouted, grabbing Bulma and rushing outside.
Chapter 262 You are finally here
They fought their way through the enemy's encirclement, finally breaking through their lines and reaching the hostages' location. There, they found Professor Agasa and Guo Yao tied to chairs, their eyes lighting up with surprise as they saw Lian and Bulma enter.
"Li An, you've finally arrived!" Guo Yao exclaimed excitedly, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Guo Yao, I'm here to save you." Li An rushed forward and untied the ropes binding Guo Yao and Professor Agasa.
"Thank goodness, we're finally saved." Dr. Agasa breathed a sigh of relief, a relieved smile spreading across his face.
