Chapter 1 Strange Things About Fairy Tail
In the Kingdom of Fiore in Ishgar, Zeref's Alvarez army is engaged in a fierce battle with a group of mage guilds, represented by Fairy Tail.
This battle even concerns the fate of the world.
Meanwhile, in the Fairy Tail guild, Zeref, the instigator of the war, is now facing the two people he cares about most in this world—his former lover Mavis and his younger brother, Natsu.
“Zeref…I’ve found a way to kill you…” Mavis, whose hair was being held by Zeref and who was forced to tilt her head back, said with some difficulty as she looked at Zeref.
Looking into Mavis's emerald green eyes, which were faintly glistening with tears, Zeref's expression was complicated for a moment. His fine black hair fell down to cover up this momentary wavering. When Mavis looked at him again, all that remained in Zeref's eyes was indifference.
He placed his other hand on Mavis's stomach, gave her a smile that looked almost maniacal, and said, "A solution? I have one too! It's the New Year Eclipse!"
