At one point, a nonchalant yet sly voice came from behind the fireflies.
"A life of extravagance and debauchery, just like Aprilon. How about it? Does he match your imagined dream?"
When the firefly looked back, it was a virtual projection of the silver wolf.
"You asked this question before, when we first arrived here."
"Yes, I remember your answer was 'no' back then. But after everything that's happened, I think you actually quite like it."
Silver Wolf spoke in a languid tone, slightly raising his head to look at the girl he rarely saw.
"However, I would like to remind you: don't forget that you are still on the Hound family's wanted list, so keep a low profile."
Firefly nodded, saying nothing more. But Silver Wolf thought for a moment and then spoke again:
"And this time is different from the past. The photo doesn't show Sam, but fireflies—that must be quite a novel experience for you, right?"
“Indeed, to use Kaffa’s words… this is also a missing part of my life. But not being able to move freely is quite inconvenient, Silver Wolf, can you help me?”
As she spoke, Firefly looked down at Silver Wolf with hopeful eyes.
Silver Wolf smiled smugly and spoke with considerable confidence.
"I knew you'd say that—don't worry, it's all taken care of. I hacked the system completely, leaving no trace whatsoever."
Don't do anything attention-grabbing, and don't provoke any guards who remember you. Follow these two rules, and nobody will care about you; you can go wherever you want.
Firefly smiled happily, "Thank you."
Silver Wolf, however, made a joke:
"You're welcome, Ms. Samuel—haha, I like this pseudonym."
The two then looked at the bustling street together, and Silver Wolf said with some emotion.
"The mission at Pinocchio is finally complete, but reality was far more dangerous than the script. What are you planning to do next?"
Liu Ying paused for a moment, then said with a hint of helplessness.
"You know, my script isn't finished yet."
Silver Wolf sighed, his tone filled with helplessness.
“I brought you back not so you could do something like that.”
At this moment, Firefly comforted Silver Wolf instead, her tone deliberately lighthearted.
"Don't worry. The original script said I would die three times, but it also mentioned that I would gain something unforgettable here."
How will you know if you don't try? All possibilities exist until the outcome actually occurs, right?
Silver Wolf curled his lip, somewhat puzzled:
"This script is so off-topic! You're still planning to continue? You might as well go back and play a couple of games with me."
But seeing the earnest look in Liuying's eyes, Silver Wolf gave up trying to persuade her to go back.
"Alright, Kafkato, I'll pass on a message: if you see anything good in Pinocchio, bring one back for me too. Just swipe my card; you know the PIN."
Silver Wolf then speculated:
"They didn't say anything specific, but I guess it's something like a Western-style suit, overcoat, or sunglasses. Anyway, you know more about fashion than I do; you guys are the ones who usually talk about these kinds of things."
Liu Ying nodded, then thought for a moment and said:
“Okay, I’ll keep an eye out. There are many options at the Audemars Pier shopping mall. Do you think she would like pretty little decorations, like hair accessories and brooches?”
"You like it, right? Then keep it for yourself."
Oh, and Blade also told you to be careful. He didn't say it explicitly, but that's probably what he meant—"
Silver Wolf then mimicked Blade's tone, feigning nonchalance: "The temptation of Pinocchio will reappear."
"He speaks very subtly."
Liu Ying smiled slightly, her tone filled with longing.
"It's alright, he just meant well. Don't worry, Silver Wolf, you know me."
I don't know how to do anything, I just want to walk around and experience the world more with my own two legs.
I want to buy an oak-smoked Swiss roll. During my time at Pinocchio, I ate a Swiss roll every day, from the first day to the last.
But today I can buy two and give you half. If you don't like it, I can enjoy twice the happiness.
Or I could give it to Kafka; she never refuses. Or I could give it to Blade; he'd like it.
Then, with a slight sigh, Liu Ying looked up at the distant sky.
“These things aren’t in the script, right? But look… I’ve already added a new footnote to fate.”
After saying that, Liu Ying seemed to remember something and asked with some concern.
"The script is a complete mess again. Is Elio alright?"
Silver Wolf shrugged, seemingly unconcerned, and said:
“He’s been pulling several all-nighters lately, probably trying to figure out how to deal with this. He’s losing clumps of hair. If you’re really worried about him, you can go back and check on him.”
Upon hearing this, Liu Ying hesitated for a moment before asking:
"How about I buy him some contact lens solution from Pinocone?"
"Whatever you want, but he might not actually use it."
Silver Wolf said somewhat indifferently.
Meanwhile, Emerald and Topaz boarded the Gorilla Glass together.
Chapter 78 Jiang Lin's Special Treatment
"It's still early, let's get ready first, Yelena."
Emerald looked at Toppa with a gentle expression, her eyes filled with approval for the younger generation.
"I am very honored to be able to work with you this time."
Topa was a little reserved, after all, this was her first time working with Jade as a peer.
Even when she had the opportunity before, she always worked as an assistant.
"You're a little reserved, Yelena~ Relax."
Jade looked at the girl in front of her, who was serious and cautious, yet very cute, and showed great patience.
"Well, it's still hard to get used to it for a while. After all, you... you're my senior, and I've always been used to following your instructions when I worked with you before."
Toppa adjusted his mindset slightly and displayed the spirit that the ten members of Stoneheart should have.
“But now we are all members of the Stoneheart Ten. Toppa, I hope you will be in top form, because the upcoming negotiations cannot afford to fail.”
Jade's tone became serious as she looked at Toppa with a hint of warning.
Hearing this, Topa felt somewhat embarrassed, after all, she still vividly remembered how she had lost an entire planet with just a few words during her negotiations with Jiang Lin.
But then Toppa seemed to remember something and asked the jade in front of him with some confusion.
"By the way, our cornerstone..."
Jade smiled confidently:
"Don't worry, Yelena, the company can afford to pay that genius the compensation he needs."
"So where will we make up for the losses we incurred?"
"Of course, it's Pinoctone."
Jade's tone was calm and confident, and then she explained unhurriedly:
"Given the current state of the former Oak family head, holding him accountable is pointless. The physical conflict may be over, but the problem remains unresolved."
Using this as leverage, we are in a position to secure a larger share of the benefits at the negotiating table.
Topa nodded, and just as she was about to say something more, Zhang Zhang suddenly started whimpering and rubbing against her leg.
Toppa picked up the account book with some confusion:
"What's wrong? Zhangzhang, are you hungry?"
As she spoke, Toppa looked at Emerald with some apology, but Emerald just smiled gently and didn't say anything more.
Upon seeing this, Toppa carried the bill to a long table, which was covered with food.
"The food in my dream...it probably won't taste bad, right?"
Thinking this, Toppa picked up a flying saucer-shaped bun and tossed it directly to Zhang Zhang.
"Next, the accounts."
"Hmph hmph hmph, hmph hmph hmph..."
Zhang Zhang let out an eager cry, as if one thing could not satisfy its appetite at all.
Topa shook his head helplessly, then said with a hint of indulgence:
"Alright, alright, stop being so greedy. Leave some for the other guests too."
After saying that, Toppa fed Zhangzhang some other food and then chatted with Emerald about work again.
Meanwhile, Jiang Lin finally found a hospital room for Sunday.
After confirming that it was Sunday who lived there, Jiang Lin knocked on the door.
Tuk-tuk-tuk...
The sound of a robin drifted out, and Jiang Lin gently pushed the door open and entered, then quietly closed it behind him.
After looking around the ward, he nodded slightly.
Hmm, it's quite luxurious. It seems the family hasn't been mistreating Sunday.
"Mr. Jiang Lin? You... are you also here to visit my brother?"
Jiang Lin shook his head and stated his purpose directly.
"I actually came here to ask him for help."
