Chapter 34 The Captain Makes Another Appearance with Sweet Words
Chapter 34 The Captain Makes Another Appearance with Sweet Words
Osborne Building.
"Boom~~"
As a group of Green Goblins arrived in their flying vehicles, flames erupted one after another on the building's exterior, and rubble and debris fell rapidly under the heat.
"No, it's the Green Goblin."
"So many demons! Run!!"
Pedestrians nearby fled in panic, leaving only the burning high-rise building shining alone in the neon lights.
"Beep beep~"
Fire trucks and police cars quickly arrived at the scene.
However, with the obstruction of the green monsters, the police officers' firepower was easily suppressed, and the fire trucks were unable to carry out firefighting operations smoothly.
"Oh shit, those damn Green Goblins, are they going to destroy this city?"
George Stacy used the car door as cover, occasionally peeking out to fire at the green demons in the sky.
Behind him, a group of police officers huddled behind the car, trembling with fear.
"George, let's retreat! Our weapons can't hit the demons at all," David, one of his men, urged, sweat beading on his forehead.
George glanced at the disheveled officers and gritted his teeth, saying, "If those guys don't come soon, we'll have to retreat."
They might even be able to contend with a demon.
But when faced with a group of demons clad in armor and impervious to swords and spears, the so-called police officers are nothing more than ants, slightly stronger than ordinary people.
Their firearms posed no threat to the demons.
Applying for large-scale lethal weapons such as rocket launchers takes at least three days.
Therefore, they have always been vulnerable to these terrible criminals.
Now, the appearance of a group of demons has plunged the police officers into despair.
Unless the military intervenes, it's impossible to get rid of these guys.
No, besides the military, there's another department that can stop these guys.
"Da da da~"
At that moment, a bright light appeared in the night sky, and several helicopters quickly arrived.
Seeing this, George finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"They're here, retreat."
"Yes, sir."
The police officers withdrew to a distance of 100 meters.
Under their watchful eyes, a strange creature appeared on the helicopter.
The man was tall and wore an outdated, tight-fitting uniform. He wore a half-mask and held a red and blue shield, staring directly at the group of Green Goblins outside the building against the strong winds high above.
"1234.......18 Green Goblins, looks like it's really going to take all day."
Steve let out a breath, secretly cheering himself on for his first official appearance in seventy years.
"Captain, you can move out now," Nick Fury commanded.
Steve nodded. "Understood."
Then, without any landing equipment, he jumped out of the helicopter.
"Oh my god, someone jumped down!"
David exclaimed in surprise, and George and the others' eyes widened in shock.
Steve's figure was seen free-falling rapidly, but in mid-air, he used the friction between his shield and the air to control his descent direction with the help of aerodynamics, and in the blink of an eye, he collided with a passing Green Goblin.
"boom!!"
In an instant, the shield and armor collided, sending sparks flying everywhere. The Green Goblin staggered in the air for a moment, and the next second, Steve took the opportunity to climb onto the aircraft.
"My little green cuties, hurry up and go see your Mephisto!"
As Steve's words were sweet, he delivered a powerful punch that knocked the Green Goblin off the aircraft.
He himself stood on the aircraft in place of the Green Goblin, his body swaying violently in the high-speed flight.
"Oh my god, I pick cotton, I can't fly a plane," he exclaimed.
Nick Fury said with a dark expression, "You will."
"I won't."
"Watch out behind you, they're closing in."
A strong wind swept through, and the three Green Goblins, noticing Steve's intrusion, immediately flew over to surround him.
Upon seeing this, Steve's expression changed.
"Oh my god, this is much more troublesome than the Red Skull that can't fly."
With a loud curse, he leaped off the aircraft, forcefully twisting his body and using the force to throw his shield.
"Clang clang clang~~"
Amidst the flames of the building, the shield transformed into a streak of cold light, bouncing back and forth twice between the three Green Goblin swords before being casually recalled by Steve.
The three Green Goblins that were hit tumbled off the aircraft and fell into the building, causing another explosion.
"BOOM!!"
The heatwave from the explosion sent Steve, who was in mid-air, crashing into the glass of a nearby building. He tumbled several times before coming to a stop.
He knelt on one knee, looked up at the several green demons attacking again, and a solemn look flashed in his eyes.
"Beep~"
The next moment, several pumpkin bombs rolled down in front of him. Steve's expression changed drastically, and he quickly raised his shield to protect himself.
"BOOM!!!"
Another violent explosion occurred, and Steve, along with his shield, was blasted out of the building amidst the flames, eventually crashing into a lamppost and landing awkwardly.
"Fuck you... my back..."
Beside the manhole cover, Steve leaned on the ground with one hand and stretched the other behind his back, grimacing and cursing.
"Steve, don't swear."
On the helicopter, Natasha, holding the machine gun, kept firing at the Green Goblin surrounding the building, reminding Steve to maintain his composure.
Steve struggled to sit up, panting heavily:
"I can curse all day long."
As he spoke, he threw his shield again, forcing back the Green Goblin who had approached first.
Meanwhile, the Green Goblins, who had been knocked down by the shield, recovered and extended their armored blades to attack Steve.
This made Steve feel even more pressured.
The Green Goblin had an absolute advantage in numbers, and even after falling from the sky, it was still able to maintain most of its combat power.
Steve guessed that these guys were not much worse than him in terms of physical fitness.
With the added aid of high-tech armor, he exclaimed that it was a tough situation.
He was dealing with the Green Goblin attacking him while complaining.
"Hey cotton pickers, didn't you say these guys were just ordinary people in armor? What's going on now? They can't possibly die from falling."
In the command center, Nick Fury already had a furrowed brow.
"I'm also puzzled. We examined the corpse of that Green Goblin, and he was clearly just an ordinary person. But now, they seem to have been enhanced."
"Fuck you, the current Strategic Science Legion is really pathetic!"
"Steve, hang in there, Coulson is on his way."
"Don't you have any more powerful weapons?"
"Yes, it's already on its way."
"Shitfuck you, you're treating me like Red Skull!"
Steve let out one last curse, and then he was overwhelmed on the battlefield by the ever-growing number of Green Goblins.
"Steve, Captain, how are you? Answer me...."
Nick Fury didn't receive a reply from Steve, and he finally started to panic.
He overestimated the captain's abilities.
So how do we clean up this mess?
"Nick, I have good news for you. Spider-Man is here," Natasha suddenly announced.
Upon hearing this, Nick Fury stood up excitedly.
"He's finally here."
"The great Witcher has arrived!"
In the night sky, red and blue figures soared into the air, holy light already gathering in their fists.
"Bruce, unleash your ultimate move!"
Mary Jane, who was following closely behind, frowned.
She had no idea what Bruce's ultimate move was.
Never mind, a quick tap should be fine.
