Chapter 61 Qin Ni
Chapter 61 Qin Ni
"(ˉ﹃ˉ) Delicious! Smack smack smack." Qi Hao ate like crazy! The fried rice in front of him was visibly disappearing, but luckily Ma Ling'er made a four-person portion, which was more than enough for Qi Hao.
“(?_>?) It’s always amazing no matter how many times I watch it.” N sat opposite Qi Hao, eating the omelet rice in front of him. Ma Ling’er can cook quite a few different kinds of food.
"(\u0027?\u0027) Speaking of which, where is Qin Ni?" Qi Hao finished showing off the fried rice in front of him and looked at the empty seat. Qin Ni had been sitting there last night.
“(?_>?) Oh, him? He often doesn’t come home for dinner.” Judging from N’s expression, he’s probably used to it.
"No way! I'm going to call him back! Rebellious is one thing, but he can't isolate all of us! I'm off!" With that, Qi Hao headed straight for the academy.
Ma Ling'er and N exchanged a glance. "Did he say something backwards? By the way, does he know where Qin Ni is?"
N shook his head, clearly indicating that Qi Hao hadn't asked.
"Never mind, let him be." Ma Ling'er elegantly enjoyed the steak in front of her.
Before long, Qi Hao rushed to the school gate. Just as the other students were about to start school, he had a smooth journey.
"Where should I look?" Qi Hao leaned against the wall with one hand, stroking his chin with the other. After thinking for a moment, he punched his right palm with his left fist. "Yeah! I can just ask my classmates!"
Without hesitation, Qi Hao headed straight for Class 2, which was the closest class to Class 1. At that time, they had not yet started class and were playing around like normal fifth graders.
“(\“▔□▔) Cough cough cough, um, does anyone know where Qin Ni went?” As soon as Qi Hao’s voice came from the doorway, the entire Class Two fell silent at the same time, probably thinking that the teacher had arrived.
After a moment of silence, they all looked at one person who had a name tag with the number "two" on his chest, and he looked like the class monitor.
"(`へ′) You're looking for Qin Ni? The one who just joined your class, right?" He looked at Qi Hao with an unfriendly expression.
"Yeah, what's wrong? You don't look too good. Do you have some kind of grudge against him? Never mind, it's none of my business anyway." Qi Hao wasn't going to put up with him. Who was he trying to impress with that sour face?
"(Yi?) Tsk, so what? Not only with Qin Ni, but now with you too." She grabbed Qi Hao by the collar. "It was that rebellious Qin Ni who got me kicked out of Class 1! I was his older brother for so many years! He turned his back on me after we entered Class 1 together! And now you, this nobody, have stolen my spot!"
"(╬??皿??) Damn! It's like you wouldn't have gotten kicked if I hadn't come! Are you still a child?! Can't you tell the difference between right and wrong!" No, he really does seem like a child, but Qi Hao still couldn't understand this person's logic! What? You got kicked and I filled in, so it's like I stole it?
"(Yi?) You dare talk back, huh! You're so fair-skinned and still so arrogant!" This guy immediately got angry! Seeing that Qi Hao was fair-skinned, he assumed he was weak and punched Qi Hao in the face!
Qi Hao caught the punch with one hand, leaving the opponent unable to pull his hand away for a moment. "?_? You resort to violence when you can't win an argument? Fine!"
Qi Hao grabbed his arm and slammed him against the wall behind him, smashing the wall behind him with a punch to shatter it, using the shards to pin him down and prevent him from barking any more. Then he just left, saying before he left, "(???) Pah! What bad luck, I was looking for someone and ran into a idiot."
The idiot behind him, who hadn't even gotten up yet, yelled at Qi Hao, "You just wait! So what if you're strong! You're going to lose the grade-level competition in a few days! Class One is mine!"
The only response Qi Hao gave him was: "Idiot!"
"What am I supposed to do now? It's too unlucky that there's that idiot in Class 2, and who knows if other classes have him too. I might as well not ask and just find him myself. The elementary school isn't that big anyway." Qi Hao lost his target again and walked aimlessly forward until he passed Class 8's classroom. A burst of rock music came from a classroom in the next building.
"What is this? The music room?" Qi Hao pushed open the door, and the deafening rock music made him tremble.
The music stopped abruptly, and the two vibrato salamanders, along with the fiery roaring tiger and Qin Ni, all looked over: "Hey? Qi Hao, what are you doing here?"
"( ' - ' * ) You're a bit extreme, aren't you? Two trembling salamanders in one team?" One of them appeared this morning in its high-profile form, while the other is in its low-profile form.
"What? You're going to try to persuade me to only have one? Sorry, but I, Qin Ni, am not one to listen to reason! By the way, answer my question first!" Qin Ni put down his guitar and sat down on a stool.
"(*^ワ^*) You're isolating all of us by yourself! How can I let you isolate me?" After saying that, Qi Hao sat down next to Qin Ni, grabbed a plastic bag that hadn't been disposed of yet (it contained sandwiches), and said, "You're eating this for lunch? I saw you really enjoyed Ling'er's cooking last night."
"Sigh, I'm mainly worried about affecting them." Qin Ni sighed, then leaned back in his chair. "My reputation isn't good, and if I'm with them, some scum will gossip. And aren't you saying something backwards? Am I isolating everyone?"
"Hehe, don't worry about the details." Qi Hao chuckled, then seized on the key point: "Why is your reputation bad? Is it because you were that idiot's lackey in Class Two? Or is it because you're rebellious?"
"It's a rumor." Qin Ni paused, grabbed a glass of water, and took a sip. "But it's also true."
"I vaguely remember it was in the first year of school. I don't know what got into me back then, but I wanted to find an older brother. Maybe it was because I was lonely, or maybe it was something else. I can't remember exactly, but I did tell people that he was a really annoying guy. He came over and tried to treat me like a servant. I refused without even thinking about it."
"Then came the placement exam. We both got into the same class. I got in through the exam, but he got in by threatening others. He relied on his dad being a potential superstar and threatened a lot of people." After saying that, he crushed the empty bottle in his hand. "He was extremely arrogant and wanted to be the class monitor. Then he was punished by the five of them. But I was too lazy to care about it. In the end, in order to save face, he said that I betrayed him and that I was born rebellious."
"And then what? Why not clarify this?" Qi Hao asked, puzzled.
"The problem is, I'm really born with a rebellious streak!" He then pointed to the back of his head, "There really is a protruding bone at the back of my head."
"Then why don't you just not say anything?" Qi Hao looked at him like he was an idiot.
“N said the same thing. If it were me now, I might have listened to their advice, but I was more rebellious back then.” As she spoke, she covered her face, her expression one of utter disbelief.
“Σ(っ °Д °;)っNani! Whose subordinate are you, to be so brave?!” This is quite outrageous.
"Alright, I don't care anymore. It's just insults, accusations, and slander. I'm used to it. Even though that bastard held the seventh position in the grade for four years, he still couldn't get into Class 1. Compared to me, he's worse off." He said in a nonchalant tone, then stood up and picked up the guitar that was placed to the side.
"Since you're here, let's play a piece for you." Two vibrato salamanders stood behind him, and the fiery roaring tiger reopened the electronic keyboard in front of him, its heart filled with the fierceness of a tiger and the gentleness of a rose.
The song "Oh, what a beautiful heart" is called "Rotten Mud." Qi Hao had heard it before, but he never expected to hear it again four hundred years later.
The vibrato salamanders played high notes and low notes, while the roaring tiger played its instrument and used buttons on its instrument to create drum sounds. Qin Ni performed with great emotion. Qi Hao was so engrossed in the performance that he didn't even realize he had unconsciously stood up.
"How could this be, how could this be, it's turned into a puddle of mud~" As the music played, Qi Hao stepped forward step by step to the rhythm.
After a long while, the song came to an end.
"The fairness I want is all fabricated by the injustices!!!" He shouted the last sentence in a screaming tone, and two hot tears streamed down his face. Years of cold looks, insults, accusations, and slanders had become unbearable, no matter how rebellious his thoughts were. Now that Qi Hao was there as an audience member, he couldn't hold back anymore and vented his emotions with the music.
When the music ended, he squatted down, his body trembling slightly, holding his head, trying to hide his miserable expression. After all, no matter how rebellious he was, at ten years old he was still just a child.
