Chapter 53 Taking Tom Marvolo Riddell Shopping
Chapter 53 Taking Tom Marvolo Riddell Shopping
It seems like Tom Marvolo Riddell doesn't have many suitable outfits. I just glanced at them, and the clothes he's wearing now seem a bit too small.
It's almost autumn outside now, and it's starting to get a little chilly.
My backpack is full of Galleons. I'll be living in the Muggle world with Tom Marvolo Riddle for a while, and it seems a bit wasteful to use Galleons every time I go out. I guess I'll have to go to Gringotts to exchange some pounds.
"Tom Marvolo Riddle, we're off. I'll take you to Diagon Alley in the wizarding world to do some shopping." After looking around his house, he planned to take Tom Marvolo Riddle out for a stroll.
Tom Marvolo Riddle initially took a rather indifferent view of Diagon Alley.
He always had a cold expression, as if he didn't care about anything around him.
However, when I grabbed his wrist and 'Apparated' to Diagon Alley...
A subtle change appeared on his face.
His eyes remained cold, but now held a hint of wariness; his brows furrowed slightly, as if he were deep in thought.
His lips were tightly closed, forming a straight line, revealing his inner determination.
Seeing that he seemed completely unaffected reminded me of the first time I used to Apparate with Sidford. It's infuriating to compare yourself to others.
His steps were steady and powerful, each step carrying a sense of confidence and composure.
Its posture is upright, like an unshakable mountain peak.
He exuded an aura of indifference that made people hesitant to approach him.
However, when he saw the bustling scene in Diagon Alley, a look of surprise appeared on Tom Marvolo Riddell's face.
His eyes widened slightly, as if he found everything here novel.
His brows relaxed slightly, revealing a hint of curiosity in his heart.
His lips curved slightly upwards, forming a barely perceptible arc, as if he were smiling.
A faint blush appeared on his face, revealing a hint of excitement in his heart.
Looking around, his eyes softened, as if he were filled with affection for everything there.
Their pace slowed down, as if they were appreciating everything around them.
His movements became lighter, as if he were enjoying everything here.
He exudes a warm aura that makes people want to get closer to him.
Watching him stroll through Diagon Alley, admiring everything around him.
He always wore a faint smile, as if he was satisfied with everything here.
His eyes brightened, as if filled with hope for the future.
I followed Tom Marvolo Riddell around, constantly watching his expressions, movements, and mannerisms; he was just so adorable.
Tom Marvolo Riddle is so relatable! Who says Tom Marvolo Riddle doesn't understand love? He loves the magical world!
“Come on, Tom Marvolo Riddle, we need to go to Gringotts, which is run by goblins. I need to exchange some pounds.” I took his hand and started walking towards Gringotts. Tom Marvolo Riddle tried to shake me off, but I held on tight.
We arrived in front of a white marble building.
The building was towering into the clouds, magnificent and spectacular, with two fairies in red uniforms standing at the entrance.
I stepped forward, turned to Tom Marvolo Riddle, and said, “This is Gringotts, the wizards’ bank.”
Tom Marvolo Riddell looked up at the building.
He followed me through the gate, which led to a spacious hall with a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling and a luxurious carpet on the floor.
The hall was bustling with people, including wizards and fairies.
Tom Marvolo Riddell saw some people doing business at the counter, and others talking to fairies.
I led Tom Marvolo Riddle to a counter, behind which sat an old fairy.
I explained my purpose to him, and the fairy nodded, then took out a thick ledger from the drawer.
Actually, I already have an account at Gringotts. The system registered an account here under my name a long time ago, and it's also linked to my mobile backpack. I don't need to go through the goblins to get Galleons, but I need British pounds now, so I have no choice but to come to the goblins to exchange them.
He carefully examined the ledger, and after a while, he looked up and said to me, "Mr. Ayers Hall, how much MDMA do you need to exchange?"
"Give me 1 Galleons to exchange for pounds." We no longer need to drag Tom Marvolo Riddle along here; we were just worried about getting lost in the crowds of Diagon Alley.
“Alright, here’s your £5, Mr. Ayers Hall.” The ugly goblin grinned. He really liked wizards who exchanged pounds. They goblins didn’t like Muggle coins at all; they only liked Galleons.
The money pouches given by Gringotts fairies all have space-expanding charms. They look small, but they actually have a lot of space inside, and they're all for exchanging for a large number of wizard services.
"Come on, Tom Marvolo Riddle. I'll show you around here today. It'll be a good opportunity for you to get a taste of the wizarding world. But don't even think about getting a wand. You'll have to wait until next year to have your own." He grabbed the money bag the fairy handed him and tossed it into his mobile backpack. Nothing was safer than the backpack the system gave him; even a thief couldn't steal a single penny from him.
This time, it wasn't me pulling Tom Marvolo Riddle along; it was his turn to walk in front, and I followed closely behind him.
The narrow, bustling street was filled with a magical atmosphere, which made him both excited and curious.
His gaze was drawn to the strange shops, their windows displaying all sorts of magical items, shimmering with a mysterious light.
He stopped in front of a wand shop, his eyes fixed on a black wand, a strong urge to own it welling up inside him.
He continued walking and came to a pet store.
He was overwhelmed by the various magical creatures in the cage, and he curiously observed a cat that could change color and a parrot that could talk.
In a bookstore on the street corner, the shelves were filled with thick magic books. Tom Marvolo Riddle couldn't resist going in and gently running his fingers over the ancient spines of the books.
He was so engrossed in the world of books that he seemed to forget the passage of time.
I didn't disturb him while he was reading, and I also picked out a few books to look at myself.
As we left the bookstore, the sun had already begun to set.
He held a newly bought magic book in his hand, a slightly satisfied smile on his face.
This adventure in Diagon Alley gave him a deeper understanding of the magical world and strengthened his resolve to become a great wizard.
Finally, in a good mood, I dragged Tom Marvolo Riddell to the Tuofan clothing store to order a bunch of clothes, paid a deposit, and had them shipped directly to my home.
However, Tom Marvolo Riddle walked out of the Tuofan clothing store with a dark expression the entire time. I don't know why, but I just wanted to see Tom Marvolo Riddle with all sorts of different expressions, so I ordered a bunch of brightly colored clothes for him: golden yellow, silver-blue, black-red, and dark green.
When Tom Marvolo Riddell saw me choosing colors, he had already made up his mind that all those bright colors would end up being stored away in the closet.
