Chapter 10 Transformation Lesson
Chapter 10 Transformation Lesson
I don't know if it was because the coffee last night was so energizing, but I woke up at 6 a.m. today and couldn't fall back asleep.
Reluctantly, I washed up and got out of bed, packed my textbooks for today's classes into my portable backpack, and suddenly thought, wouldn't it be more convenient to put all my books into the portable backpack and take them out to read when needed?
No more picking up the wrong books for class! I can just put all the books and textbooks I need into my portable backpack – it's perfect!
I have a photographic memory. Yesterday, I only glanced at the first-year class schedule posted in the lounge and memorized it, even the simple map. Luckily, I don't have a terrible sense of direction, so I should be able to get to the classroom before class, which will give me more time.
I only have two classes on Monday morning, starting at 9 am: Transfiguration and Spells. Each class is only an hour long. Sitting for so long, my butt must be numb. Maybe I should get a cushion!
Herbalism in the afternoon was great; standing for an hour was a very 'friendly' arrangement.
After getting ready, I put on my school robe and left the Slytherin lounge. It's not curfew now that I'm out so early.
Fortunately, I was aware of the time when I came out; the temperature was still a bit low so early, especially since I was underground. Wearing my school uniform and walking through this ancient castle that has stood for thousands of years was truly magnificent.
I'd never been abroad in my past life, so I never imagined I'd actually have the chance to study abroad. It's fantastic!
With each step I took, the old kerosene lamp lit up. If I had my phone with me, I would have loved to take many photos.
Let me recall first. Hogwarts kitchens seem to be located in the basement of Hogwarts Castle. Let's go to the entrance hall first.
There, turn left into a wide stone corridor.
I found a painting of a silver bowl filled with fruit.
If you lightly touch the pear in the painting, it will laugh out loud and then turn into a giant green handle.
Grab this handle and the door will open, revealing the kitchen. I entered the kitchen as I reminisced.
It's only a little past 6 a.m., and the house-elves are already up and working, preparing a hearty breakfast for the little wizards.
My arrival startled them; all their big eyes were fixed on me.
"Hello, my name is Ayersholm. May I borrow your kitchen tools and ingredients to make some of my favorite food?" Knowing the habits of house-elves, who become adorable with a little respect, I naturally gave them my due.
"Oh no! A little wizard is actually speaking so politely to their lowly servants!" Every house-elves erupted in excitement, as if they were something else entirely.
"Am I disturbing your work? I just want to make some breakfast that I like. If possible, could you help me out? I need you." I need you all. I want meat buns and egg and ham noodles!
I love free labor the most; my eyes light up when I see house-elves.
“Little wizard, please feel free to do as you please. We will do our best to satisfy you.” The house-elves were all full of enthusiasm.
My house-elves and I spent half an hour in the kitchen, teaching them how to make noodles, meat buns, and soy milk. I also gave them a Chinese cookbook that I had written before. I'm really looking forward to every meal I'll eat from now on.
Remember to save some breakfast for Coach Si after you finish eating. We're not familiar with the other potential partners yet, so we'll have to save this delicious breakfast for next time~
"Mumu, could you please deliver this meat bun and coffee to Professor Snape?" It seems there haven't been any new tasks since I completed the last one for Snape.
[Jin: Ding—Severus Snape, the target of your strategy, has been successfully prepared. Making a loving breakfast for Severus Snape is now complete.]
Rewards: 100 Bond Points, 100 Experience Points, 10 Favorability Points, 1 Luck Point.
(Jin, are you slacking off a bit these days? Are you being this unenthusiastic and casual about posting tasks?)
[Jin: Host, you've wronged your loyal Jin. Severus Snape's favorability has now reached 50 and is stable. His future missions depend on your attitude. How you want to win him over will trigger the corresponding missions for Jin. Of course, there's also the possibility of hidden missions appearing. It all depends on you, host.]
So this is what happens after the affection level is fixed. Hmm~ I'm going to be a player, I'll collect them all. Very good, very powerful, they're all in my bowl~
"Okay, Mumu promises to complete the little wizard's instructions."
The house-elf named Mumu carefully wrote down the instructions.
"Well then, I'll be leaving now. I'll bring you gifts next time." These house-elves are so cute.
I left the kitchen and checked the time; it was only a little past 7 a.m., and it was still pitch black outside the window.
Forget it, I'll just go straight to the Transfiguration classroom. I can use the remaining time to read a few more potion books and finish Night's mission as soon as possible.
Severus was still brewing potions until very late last night before resting. When he woke up and washed up, it was already 8:30. He had to go to his first class for senior students in half an hour.
When he finished getting ready in his room and stepped out of his bedroom, he saw the breakfast he often saw at home placed on the table. A slight smile appeared on his lips; he was in a really good mood today.
Today, the upperclassmen were fortunate to encounter Professor Snape in a good mood. He didn't deduct any points in class today, allowing each young wizard to complete their classwork well.
I sat in the classroom reading, and first-year students came in one after another.
Today, the first-year Gryffindors and Slytherins had class together. I was always alone, and none of the Slytherin students in my year wanted to sit with me, so I occupied the first row of desks and chairs all by myself.
I don't really feel anything. I used to be a loner when I was studying in my previous life, so I'm quite used to it.
"Ayers, what brings you here so early?" Fred plopped down on my left; he really was quite the easygoing guy.
"Ayers, have you eaten?" George was sitting to my right, holding a book and a piece of bread, chewing on it.
"I couldn't sleep this morning, so I ate breakfast early and came here to read. George, finish your bread before you talk." I glanced at them briefly, and I felt like my eyes were burning.
They seemed to have been blown in by the wind to class; the Weasleys' signature red hair was a mess, their Gryffindor school robes were undone, and their red and yellow scarves were spread wide and hanging around their necks.
"What's going on between you two?" Unable to stand it any longer, she grabbed Fred, helped him put on his school uniform, wrapped a scarf around his neck, and used her five fingers as a comb to comb his hair from his forehead in a second. And to be honest, it actually looked pretty good.
Fred and George were both stunned for a moment, and while George was still in a daze, they started packing together.
"Suddenly I feel like I'm your mother." After finally getting them both tidied up, they looked much better.
“You know what, that’s how my mom treated us.” Fred and George actually quite liked being treated that way; it was very affectionate.
"Hurry up and sit down, class is about to start, Professor McGonagall is here."
While we were chatting, Professor McGonagall arrived in the classroom. She was quite surprised to see students from her own house interacting so amicably with students from Slytherin.
I find this Ayers Hall to be quite interesting.
The experience of the first day of the transformation class was hard to describe, especially with a pair of mischievous twins sitting next to me.
When Professor McGonagall handed out matches to us to turn into needles, the Geminis, perhaps because they were particularly talented, succeeded on their first try, though the result was rather ridiculous.
"Oh~ I can take this back to my mom." They actually changed the color of the match to gold, which seems pretty amazing, doesn't it? They must be desperate for gold!
Speechless, I rubbed my head, watching the two of them having so much fun, and an unconscious smile crept onto my lips.
This was my first time trying Transformation, following the method taught by Professor McGonagall.
"Pop!" The match turned into a fine silver needle.
[Night: Ding—Host has autonomously learned basic transformation and activated the skill "Learn by Analogy"]
[Rewards: Learn the Myriad Transformations skill, Magic Control 30, Experience Points 300]
Wow, so the skills I learn can be upgraded! That's great!
"Mr. Ayers has made a great success, Slytherin +5 points."
Professor McGonagall was also pleased to see me transform into silver needles. It was good to have a student this year, even if he wasn't from Gryffindor.
“Not bad, Ayers.” Fred and George put their arms around each other’s shoulders.
"Alright, don't be discouraged if you didn't succeed. Practice more after class. Class dismissed." The professors don't assign homework during the first week of school, giving freshmen an adjustment period. An hour-long class doesn't seem too difficult to get through.
Pack your books quickly, we need to get to the next Spells class.
