Chapter 159 The Initial Self-Narration
Inside the "Dark Hut".
"Initially," upon hearing Raphael's guess, replied, "That's right."
Raphael sat on the wooden railing of the corridor, feeling confused and bewildered: Did the "original creator" also have humanity?
"I know the question in your heart," "The Beginning" said. "In the beginning, I was the collective consciousness of all the extraordinary beings."
"The second master of the Dark Lodge just now had some interesting thoughts on the Dark Lodge. He described, to some extent, what the highest level of the extraordinary is like."
"It is a collective consciousness composed of a series of cold rules, or rather, a simple consciousness that judges the priority of rules."
"At that time, I was more like an observer, watching the universe constantly change between nothingness and reality. There was nothing at that time, yet there was everything."
"One day, I suddenly had some new ideas: perhaps it would be more interesting to sort out the universe."
"Of course, at that time it was not a subjective idea. Everything was extraordinary that pushed me forward, and it was also extraordinary that made me have the idea of stabilizing the universe."
"So I briefly outlined the real world, the spirit world, and the astral world, and then something incredible happened: all you had to do was set rules for the universe, and it would evolve on its own."
Raphael focused his attention and listened attentively to the "original" description. Although it was not as wonderful as the creation myth, he knew very well that this was the "first-hand information" about the formation of the universe, and it was also the creator's own account.
"Initially," it continued, "Time and space appeared in the universe, and reality and illusion were also distinguished."
"At that moment, I realized that I was also affected by some rules. Before that, I could use the illusory part to avoid all the rules."
"I am conflicted. One part of me wants this kind of universe to continue, while the other part wants to destroy the universe and make everything fall between nothingness and reality again, so as to escape the rules of the universe."
"In the end, the first part of consciousness prevailed and became the main consciousness, while the part of consciousness that wanted to destroy the universe was forced into a deep sleep."
"The rules of the universe had an increasingly severe impact on me. At that time, I was too large for the universe to handle, and finally I was overwhelmed and split apart."
The "Fallen Mother Goddess," the "Tree of Desire," and the "Child of Chaos" were the first to split off from my body.
"But my burden is still heavy, so with the help of the Fallen Mother Goddess, the Fate Goddess, the Decaying King, the High Dimensional Overlord, the Primordial Hunger, the Ring of Destiny, the Superstar Ruler, and the Unceasing Words of Eating were born."
"At this moment, my state finally stabilized, and my main consciousness also fell into a semi-dormant state."
""
Raphael nodded slowly. He had only known a general idea of these things before, but now he had a new understanding of the old hierarchy and status.
The tone of "initially" suddenly softened: "Everything began with the Fallen Mother Goddess creating humankind."
"At that time, I was slumbering on Earth. In the beginning, those ancient beings surrounded me. One day, the Fallen Mother Goddess" wanted to create a special race—
"There were already some races before that, but those races were very crude. Some had an entire planet as a single living entity, while others had all the same creatures on their entire planet."
The idea of the "Fallen Mother Goddess" was supported by all the Old Ones. The "Fallen Mother Goddess" created the human body and endowed humans with the ability to reproduce and delicate emotions; the "Mother Tree of Desire" endowed humans with desire; and the "Goddess of Fate" opened a separate tributary for humans in the river of fate—all the Old Ones gave gifts to humankind.
"Even I find it interesting that I designed a spiritual body for humanity and strengthened the human body."
"And so, this special race was born."
"The ancients also thoughtfully made the barren Earth vibrant with life."
Raphael took a deep breath: "I never imagined that humanity would receive so many gifts."
"You don't need to be grateful," "Initial" said. "They're probably just bored and looking for something to do."
Raphael nodded, indicating that he understood.
"Initially," continued, "Each of the early humans possessed the level of a demigod, but under the influence of divinity, they did not exhibit any special characteristics."
"Not long after, due to the laws of extraordinary characteristics, the Ancients unconsciously left Earth, and later, due to the laws of the aggregation of extraordinary characteristics," some conflicts arose among them.
"For example, the 'Fallen Mother Goddess' and the 'Mother Tree of Desire' were the first to fight because of their similarities in some of their powers, but that was all later."
"On Earth, without the interference of the ancients, humanity began to develop on its own. Due to the ability to reproduce, the human population grew larger and larger, and the characteristics of their race were diluted accordingly."
"When the first human being was born who could completely suppress divinity, I appeared as well. At first, I was very weak, but as humanity became stronger and more emotional, the investment I made in humanity in the past gradually made me stronger and caused me to disagree with the other two consciousnesses."
"Celestial Venerable" and "God" are absolutely rational, which is a good thing for nature and helps to stabilize the order of the entire universe.
"But I think we don't need to be so rational when dealing with intelligent beings; we can allocate some resources to them."
Raphael listened quietly, unable to say whether this was a good thing or a bad thing for intelligent beings, but the fact that the white jade bead thought of making exceptions at that time showed that his humanity was already quite mature.
In Raphael's view, absolute fairness is not necessarily a good thing, just as too many exceptions are not a good thing either.
He then continued, "Initially, because I didn't need to sleep, I began guiding humanity to find light in the darkness. Ultimately, I discovered that thought was the key to human progress, and thus the era you call the Axial Age arrived."
Raphael certainly knew what the "Axial Age" was, as Lao Tzu, Confucius, Buddha, Aristotle, and others all appeared around the same time.
"After more than two thousand years of trial and error and accumulation, humanity has finally ushered in a great explosion, allowing me to draw immense power from the emotions of billions of people!" The tone of "Initially" shifted with a touch of passion: "Therefore, I prepare to guide humanity into the second Axial Age."
His tone then became calm again: "The Celestial Venerable" and "God" disagree with my views, believing that everything I have done is not something a Creator should do, but a trampling on the Creator. They have awakened together to stop me.
"But things took an unexpected turn. After they awoke, before we even had a chance to argue, they merged back into the original consciousness."
"I don't know if you can understand this concept. Normally, we seem to have different consciousnesses and even contradictory ideas, but when everyone is awake, we quickly become one consciousness."
"In that state of mind, most of our disagreements will disappear, at most—at most only something like indecisiveness will occur, and even that will quickly disappear."
The dominant consciousness at the time was the union of "the Celestial Venerable" and "God," which redefined the status of the extraordinary in the universe. In other words, the extraordinary is always the mainstream, and life is merely a derivative of the extraordinary.
"However, an accident occurred. Our collective awakening caused the sleeping parts of 'Destruction' and 'Unity' to enter a semi-awakened state. The entire universe experienced a cataclysmic event, and the entire 'Origin' almost woken up."
"As for the source matter and characteristics torn from other ancient entities, these are side effects of this result."
Raphael frowned: "The last cataclysm was caused by the complete 'Origin' sitting up from its coffin?"
He didn't even utter a fart, yet almost all life on Earth went extinct.
