Chapter 43 A Moment of Crisis: Activating the Demon-Slaying Order

The streets of the town looked like the end of the world.

Houses collapsed, smoke and dust filled the air, and the surviving residents had long since disappeared, leaving only broken rubble and burning flames.

He must find a partner and get out of here!

"You think I'm trying to save you? You're the captain's master! The captain is risking his life to cover our retreat! If something happens to you, how can I face the captain!" Buggy screamed angrily.

Seeing the navy surging around him, he shrank back in fear.

He secretly turned his head and looked towards the square—there, and at the same time, a terrifying pressure that made his soul tremble.

"Captain...you must hold on..." Bucky silently prayed, not for his own life, but for the man who gave him such peace of mind.

Luffy mustered all his strength to squeeze out a sentence: "The dock... our ship is at... the dock."

"Straw Hat crew! Your captain is in danger!" Bucky shouted at the top of his lungs, his voice echoing through the empty ruins.

"Red-Nosed Clown?!" Zoro suddenly looked up, his three swords instantly drawn, his sharp gaze piercing through the dust and smoke, seeing the Red-Nosed Clown carrying Luffy and running towards them.

"Luffy! Are you alright?!" Sanji noticed Luffy's pale face and his heart tightened.

They immediately abandoned any other thoughts, turned the ship around, and headed towards Luffy's direction.

Meanwhile, at the dock, Nami and Usopp were trembling behind several pieces of ship wreckage overturned by cannon fire.

The sea was covered with floating debris and burning planks.

When they heard Luffy's shout and saw Buggy charging towards them, they practically tumbled and crawled out of their cover.

"Buggy the Clown! How did you manage to get all the way here?! What did you do to Luffy?!" Nami burst into tears the moment she saw Luffy's appearance.

"Uncle Roger... he..." Usopp stared at the center of the plaza in the distance, shrouded in Conqueror's Haki, and stammered in fear.

"No time to explain!" Buggy ran over, stumbled, and almost fell. Usopp caught him.

"Quick! Your captain is in danger! He's exhausted! We need to find a way to save him!"

He looked at the dock, now a ruin, words stuck in his throat.

"The sea is full of warships, we can't leave..." Nami said desperately, looking at the debris of ships on the sea.

Just then, Zoro and Sanji piloted the Merry to shore.

Zoro glanced at Luffy's condition and the battlefield in the distance, then swept his gaze over the layers of lurking marines and warships.

His eyes flashed sharply: "Now is not the time to cry! Get on the boat!"

Usopp, with his sharp eyes, pointed to a small gap between two warships not far away and shouted.

"Let's go!" Sanji made a quick decision and carried the almost exhausted Luffy on his back.

Zoro then picked up Usopp, whose legs were still weak, as if he were a chick.

When Bucky saw that they were about to leave, he immediately stopped them all.

"You ungrateful wretch! Captain Roger is still covering our retreat. What will happen to him if you leave?!"

Nami nimbly dodged around her: "Roger is a Heroic Spirit! Once he becomes a spirit, no one can catch him. Instead of worrying about him, you should be worried about how we're going to get out of here!"

Bucky gritted his teeth: "Liars, you're all liars! I don't believe you, you can't leave! The captain, he..."

After saying that, the five of them simultaneously extended their hands, palms facing upwards.
