Chapter 5 Waaaaah... How did she know?
Chapter 5 Waaaaah... How did she know?
At the entrance of Ichiraku Ramen.
When Naruto rushed to the agreed meeting point, he found that Sasuke and Sakura were already there.
Sasuke still had that cool expression, his hands in his pockets, leaning against the wall next to the ramen shop, his eyes slightly closed, as if he didn't care about anything around him, but the slightly dark circles under his eyes suggested that he hadn't slept well last night.
To Naruto's surprise, Sakura wasn't clinging to Sasuke like usual, chattering away incessantly.
Instead, she stood a few steps away from Sasuke, her hands behind her back, pacing back and forth anxiously, her emerald green eyes constantly looking at both ends of the street, as if searching for someone.
Are you looking for me?
Naruto's heart suddenly stirred!
He subconsciously recalled the incredibly vivid dream he had last night.
Sakura confessed her feelings to him and even called him "Naruto-sama"...
Could it be... could that dream have been real?
Sakura...she really...
An overwhelming surge of joy welled up in Naruto's heart once again, washing away the bitterness of being disliked by the villagers.
The disappointment on his face was instantly replaced by a radiant smile.
Just then, Sakura, who was looking around, finally spotted Naruto running towards her.
Her body visibly stiffened, and then a raging fire instantly ignited in her beautiful emerald green eyes.
"Naruto!!!"
The furious roar, filled with murderous intent, startled several early-rising passersby.
Sakura vanished from her spot almost instantly, rushing towards Naruto like a pink lightning bolt.
"Huh? Sakura..."
When Naruto saw Sakura rushing straight towards him, with a shy and adorable expression on her face that he found charming, Naruto felt a surge of happiness that reached the pinnacle of his life.
He subconsciously raised his hand, his face beaming with the brightest smile, ready to receive Sakura-chan's hug or rather... kiss?
however……
He was greeted not with a kiss or a hug, but with—
"Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!"
A series of pink iron fists, brimming with the girl's fury, rained down on Naruto's head.
"Ouch! Ouch! That hurts!!"
Naruto was instantly stunned, seeing stars, and several large, round bumps appeared on his head at a visible speed.
He clutched his throbbing head, squatted on the ground, and stared tearfully at Sakura, who exuded a terrifying and sinister aura, completely bewildered.
"Sakura...why did you hit me?!" he asked, sounding aggrieved.
"I'll hit you?!"
Sakura stood with her hands on her hips, glaring down at him, and said through gritted teeth, "Naruto! You absolute idiot! Tell me, what kind of nightmare did you have last night?!"
"Huh? A dream?" Naruto was taken aback, then his cheeks flushed slightly. He subconsciously glanced at Sasuke, who was still leaning against the wall looking cool, and his voice lowered, "W-what dream... I-I don't remember..."
Of course he remembers.
I remember it perfectly!
In her dream, Sakura blushed as she confessed her feelings to him.
Could it be... could it be that she... knew what happened in my dream?!
That's impossible, isn't it? How could someone else possibly know what happened in my dream?
Naruto felt a chill run down his spine, and his eyes began to dart around.
"Don't you remember?!" Sakura was even more furious when she saw his guilty look, and raised her hand to hit him on the head a few more times.
She suppressed the urge to punch him and said fiercely, "Hmph, you better really not remember. If I find you having those... those shameless, stupid dreams again, I'll beat you to death."
"Waaaah... She knew, she actually found out."
"But...why? It's terrifying!"
Naruto held his head, on the verge of tears.
Seeing his foolish appearance, Sakura was too lazy to argue with him anymore. She snorted coldly, turned her head to the side, and ignored him.
When Naruto saw that Sakura was ignoring him, he had no choice but to turn to Sasuke for help.
However, when his gaze met Sasuke's, he found that Sasuke was also looking at him with a strange expression.
Sasuke recalled that during yesterday's test, although Naruto acted like an idiot, he was able to come up with a coordinated tactic at the last moment and even successfully launched a sneak attack.
This bottom-ranked player may not be as simple as it seems on the surface.
Feeling Sasuke's scrutinizing gaze, Naruto became even more guilty. He chuckled twice and quickly changed the subject, trying to break the awkward atmosphere:
"Um... Sasuke, where's Kakashi-sensei? Is he late again?"
Sasuke withdrew his gaze and gave a faint "hmm," his tone and expression calm.
"Kakashi-sensei is late again."
"What the hell?!"
Upon hearing this, Naruto immediately found an outlet for his complaints, jumping up and down and yelling, "We've only met a few times, and he's always late! What's the point of having a meeting time?! Kakashi-sensei is so unreliable!"
However, Naruto really misunderstood Kakashi this time.
Actually, Kakashi had already arrived.
He hid in a large tree on a street corner not far away and observed them.
He even activated his Sharingan, taking in the entire interaction between the group.
Sure enough, Sakura and Sasuke's reactions proved that last night's experience was real.
It's not just my illusion.
Moreover, judging from Naruto's dazed and guilty expression after being hit, he seemed unaware that his dream was being broadcast live.
This rules out the possibility that he deliberately used some kind of secret technique that we are unaware of.
After confirming this, Kakashi frowned even more deeply.
It wasn't Naruto's doing...
What kind of being possesses such terrifying power?
Silently, they pulled Class 7, including themselves, into a shared dream space.
Precisely capture and play back the dreams of specific individuals...
This ability has exceeded his understanding of the known ninjutsu system.
Is it some kind of unknown illusion?
Or is it some kind of special barrier that transcends space-time ninjutsu?
Or perhaps some even more incomprehensible force?
Kakashi felt that his usually calm mind was not quite up to par.
The strangeness of this matter far exceeded his imagination.
"No...this matter must be reported to Lord Sanhok!"
"But... how should I put it?"
"They're saying I had a dream about Naruto's mother, and even dragged two students into it? What will the Third Hokage think? Is he too tired from missions lately? Is his guilt towards Naruto causing him to lose his mind?"
"Furthermore, the mastermind's abilities are so bizarre. Wouldn't reporting this rashly alert them? Or even bring greater danger to the village?"
Kakashi racked his brains but couldn't come up with a suitable solution, finding himself in a dilemma.
He pulled down his headband, covering his Sharingan, and temporarily suppressed the surprise and unease in his heart.
Let's wait and see how things develop.
At the very least, you need to figure out the other party's purpose first.
Having made up his mind, Kakashi stopped hiding.
He appeared silently in front of the three members of Class 7, his face bearing that ever-present lazy smile, and raised his hand in greeting:
"Yo~ Good morning, everyone."
"Ah, Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto immediately forgot his earlier annoyance upon seeing Kakashi, pointing at him and loudly complaining, "You're late again! That's awful!"
"Well..." Kakashi maintained his perfunctory attitude, casually making up an unreliable excuse like "I met an old lady who needed help on the road."
Then, without any sincerity, he put his hands together and apologized, "Sorry, sorry, I'll be more careful next time."
His gaze swept over the three kids, noticing the obvious bumps on Naruto's head, Sakura's still puffed-up face, and Sasuke's indifferent expression. He couldn't help but shake his head inwardly.
He cleared his throat and changed the subject, saying, "Alright, we can talk about complaints later. Have you guys had breakfast? We're starting our assigned task today, and going hungry will affect our efficiency."
Before Naruto could even speak, his stomach started rumbling in protest.
He scratched the back of his head sheepishly and chuckled sheepishly, "Well... I overslept, so I just drank some milk..."
Sasuke's complexion was still rather poor; clearly, the bizarre dream he had last night had affected his sleep. He said coldly, "No."
Sakura stuck out her tongue and touched her flat stomach. "I'm controlling my figure..."
Although she was thinking that she was so angry at Naruto, that idiot, that she had no appetite.
Kakashi looked at the three kids, each in a different situation, and clapped his hands helplessly.
"Alright, alright, since no one's eaten..." He gave a lazy smile. "Then, to apologize for being late, this 'terrible' teacher will treat you to breakfast today! I'll take you to Ichiraku Ramen!"
Wow!!!
When Naruto heard that they were going to eat at Ichiraku Ramen, his eyes instantly turned into stars!
All my little emotions were thrown to the winds.
He was the first to cheer, jumping up and down with his arms raised high: "Awesome! Ichiraku Ramen! Kakashi-sensei is the best!"
Although Sasuke and Sakura didn't particularly like ramen, they had no reason to refuse since their teacher was treating them.
So, amidst Naruto's excited cheers, Team 7, consisting of four, lifted the curtain bearing the name "Ichiraku" and entered the legendary ramen shop.
