Chapter 21 Dudley's Fury! Dumbledore's Regretful Incident!
Chapter 21 Dudley's Fury! Dumbledore's Regretful Incident!
Shocked, Dumbledore considered Legilimency, but then decided against it.
With a gentle tap of his Elder Wand, he invigorated Hagrid, bringing him to full consciousness. His hidden injuries vanished, and the scattered pieces of clothing and debris returned to Hagrid as if time had reversed, restoring him to his former state.
However, Hagrid's two dormouses, which he always carried with him, were struck by rocks in their sleep and never returned.
Hagrid, who hadn't fully regained consciousness, hadn't heard Dudley's words. Now that he was awake, he didn't realize the strange atmosphere. He looked around and found the fake Philosopher's Stone packet on the ground. He breathed a sigh of relief, quickly picked it up, and brought it to Dumbledore.
Then he explained Harry and Dudley's identities to the elder he respected so much, and recounted what had just happened.
In his excitement, Hagrid tried to pull Harry and Dudley to his side to talk to Dumbledore, but found that Harry stood firmly next to Dudley and wouldn't let Hagrid pull him away.
Dudley, preoccupied with his own business, ignored him.
"Oh! It's all my fault, I shouldn't have revealed Harry's identity!"
Hagrid became sad when he sensed Harry's resistance.
“Don’t be sad, Hagrid. They will forgive you. Let them have some peace and quiet first!” Dumbledore said.
Dali didn't have time to calm down.
Right in front of Dumbledore, he took out three empty blood bags wrapped in tin foil and cotton from his clothes and opened the caps.
Waving Mr. Deegg, a member of the Order of the Phoenix, he cast a simple teleportation spell, drawing up the large pool of Hagrid's blood left on the ground, injecting it into the pool, and collecting it properly.
After collecting Hagrid's blood, Dudley walked to the stalactite where Quirrell's wand was stuck, tried the Split Spell a few times, broke the stone, and successfully put the somewhat cracked and damaged Quirrell's wand into his possession.
After doing all this, he went to Quirrell's 'corpse,' which had turned to ashes and was now only covered in tattered black cloth. He searched it but found nothing of value and gave up.
Next, Dudley turned his attention to the gold nuggets that had been transformed from pebbles, only to find that the gold nuggets were gradually turning back into stones. Only the small amounts of base metal naturally contained in the stones had completely turned into pure gold and had not turned back into stones.
"Pure gold flew in!"
Dali didn't hesitate. Even a mosquito is still meat, let alone gold.
The scattered gold dust shattered the stones that bound them, rose into the air, and gathered in Dali's palm.
"Powerful enhancement!"
Dudley cast a spell on himself with his wand, a spell he and Harry had created together. He spoke in ancient Latin, using the corresponding incantation he had planned for the spell. As for the gesture of waving the wand, it was simply an outline of a clenched fist.
A crimson light flashed, and perhaps blessed by his status as the creator, Dudley succeeded in casting the spell on his first attempt.
Feeling the surge of power within him, he was extremely satisfied; this was much more exhilarating than the power Harry had previously unleashed upon him!
Dudley turned and stared intently at Dumbledore, who had found a rock to sit on and wait. At the same time, he clenched his left hand tightly, and a small handful of gold dust in his palm was instantly molded into a single piece.

[First encounter with Albus Dumbledore, unlocking the current regrettable event!]
[The accidental death of both parents (Category B)]

[Accidentally killing Ariana (Rank S)]
[Details: Albus Dumbledore's sister Ariana died in a three-way battle between him, his brother Aberforth, and his then-lover Gellert Grindelwald (the first Dark Lord).]
Although there is no direct evidence, Albus Dumbledore knew deep down that it was his own curse that took his sister's life, a nightmare he feared most and least wanted to face.
The Forbidden Love of the Black and White Demon Kings (S-Rank)
[Details: A young Albus Dumbledore falls in love with Gellert Grindelwald, an extremist and powerful wizard who is obsessed with dark magic and the legend of the Deathly Hallows and believes that wizards should rule over Muggles.]
Later, due to ideological differences and the devastating three-way battle, the two parted ways, eventually leading to a complete break in their relationship over the sake of order in the magical world. They fought each other, with the victor taking all and the loser imprisoned, and their relationship could never be restored.
After silently reading through the newly unlocked regrettable events, Dudley's mood and expression became even more unpleasant.
None of them are things he wants to solve right now, and none of them are things he can solve right now!
"Harry, let's go!"
Dali immediately turned his head and walked away.
Harry, who had been following Dudley, didn't hesitate at all and quickly caught up.
Although he couldn't fully understand why his cousin was angry, he didn't need to. He would unconditionally stand by his cousin's side, even if he couldn't go to Hogwarts to learn magic.
Dumbledore and Hagrid were abandoned.
“Hagrid, it seems that the rather opinionated Mr. Dursley has misunderstood me!” Dumbledore stood up. “Don’t worry, they probably don’t dislike you!”
Even without using Legilimency, the wise old bee clearly understood the situation.
"Oh! How could this be! You've come to our rescue! Dudley is a smart and good boy, he shouldn't have treated you like this!"
Hagrid has a big head, but his IQ is definitely a bit lower, and he can't understand the current situation at all.
"No, Hagrid! Strictly speaking, I didn't save them. They had already defeated Voldemort before I even intervened!"
Dumbledore didn't try to glorify himself; he simply stated the truth: "And Hagrid, you're right."
Mr. Dursley is indeed clever, even more so than I imagined, clever and straightforward, without any pretense! That's good!
Perhaps a sincere conversation can resolve his dissatisfaction and misunderstanding towards me.
Let's follow them! They seem to be in a bit of trouble. Also, the two new students haven't bought their first-year school supplies yet!
Dumbledore and Hagrid saw from afar that Dudley and Harry were having a minor argument with the goblins who had come to fix the mess.
“Oh! Very well! Professor Dumbledore, I truly hope you can be close to the two children, but for now, please go and help them! I'll be there shortly!”
Hagrid wiped the tears from his face. The estrangement of his two new friends and the passing of his two little darlings saddened him.
He crouched down, carefully lifted the two dormice that were flattened and already dead, wrapped them in a piece of silk cloth, and slowly placed them into a separate bag.
"Don't be too sad, Hagrid," Dumbledore comforted his old friend.
"I'm fine, Professor Dumbledore."
Hagrid replied that he didn't want others to worry about him and tried to calm himself down.
This calming effect reminded him of something Dumbledore had just said.
"Professor, you mean, the two freshmen?! Dudley counts too? Yes, yes, Dudley suddenly knows how to use magic, he's not a Muggle!"
Hagrid was slow to realize what was happening, and was so focused on the intense battle that he didn't have time to think about Dudley's special abilities.
Now that he'd thought of it, he didn't delve too deeply into it; he was simply happy for Dali.
