Spall knew that Silver Wolf's actions were merely a facade, so he ignored them, cleared his throat, and said:
"To break free from memories, we need to merge our codes and make the etheric realm resonate. Come here and lend a hand."
"I do not want!"
Silver Wolf shook his head and rolled his eyes at Spa.
click!
Spa reloaded.
"Ugh...no...is it really necessary to leave in such a hurry? Can't we just live a little longer in the past when it's just the two of us?"
Silver Wolf blew a piece of chewing gum, puffed out his cheeks, and mumbled something.
"I don't want to recall such a cruel experience."
"But that day... you were terrifyingly strong."
Silver Wolf narrowed his eyes, a wicked smile playing on his lips: "He charged up Arasaka Tower alone, grabbed the governor, dragged him out of the thirty-seventh floor, and even hung all those people from the research institute on streetlights. Acting on behalf of heaven, how cool!"
As he spoke, Silver Wolf clapped repeatedly.
Spall's face flushed red instantly. He said nothing, but instead flicked the gun barrel, aiming it firmly at Silver Wolf's heart.
"Hehe! You're getting impatient, you're getting impatient..."
Silver Wolf stuck out her tongue, intending to tease him a bit more, but seeing Spa's face growing increasingly pale, she immediately changed her mind:
"Okay, okay, stop joking. We need to find a safe place to enter the code."
Silver Wolf lowered his voice, suppressed his wicked grin, and shifted his neck to glance at a watchtower not far away.
The two started one after the other, and soon climbed to the top of the tower. Looking down at the ground, they saw blood everywhere, shouts of killing rising and falling, and cyborgs falling one after another, their corpses forming a hillside.
Spall saw the bloodstains and scorch marks on the ground and couldn't bear it. He turned his head slightly away, but saw the neon-lit city in the distance, with its bright lights and bustling nightlife.
"It is said that the governor... did these things in order to research the gene lock and give birth to Superman in Punk Lords."
Silver Wolf spoke in a low voice, his tone unreadable.
Spall didn't speak, but simply pursed his lips slightly, clenched his fist, then quickly relaxed it, muttering to himself:
Just for research, they've caused widespread death and destruction on the planet... They've completely disregarded human life! It's disgusting.
Silver Wolf glanced at Spa's profile and saw his eyebrows slightly raised. A vague memory flashed through his mind of a childhood dream of hunting the stars, and he blurted out:
"Sea Ranger, Galactic Hero... So cool..."
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
Spah didn't hear clearly and subconsciously turned his head to look at the silver wolf, only to see the girl's cheeks slightly flushed. She stomped her foot and turned her head away.
"I didn't say anything. Hurry up and enter the code! You stinky Spa!"
Silver Wolf gritted his teeth, summoned the keyboard, and his fingers flew across the keys, typing out several lines of code in no time.
Spall was curious, but out of politeness, he knew he shouldn't ask too many questions, so he could only smile and tap his fingers on the keyboard.
Shortly after, the two pressed Enter simultaneously, and a purple light suddenly flashed from the tower. The purple light spread rapidly, engulfing the entire world in the blink of an eye.
Whether it's cyberpsychosis or neon-lit cities, at this moment they vanish without a trace, like ice and snow touching the sunlight.
When Spare came to his senses, the two returned to the space station. All around them was pitch black, with no sounds of battle and no smell of blood.
"call"
Spah breathed a sigh of relief and was about to say something when he saw a strange sight appear in front of his eyes.
White dots stretched from the doorway all the way to his feet. Before him, the air distorted, and a figure gradually appeared.
The figure gradually became clearer.
Chapter 17 Captain Black Tower has come to pay his respects!
"Oh dear, you two are flirting and arguing, neither of you willing to back down... Would you like me to be your referee?"
A slightly crisp sound penetrated Spa's eardrums.
"Who the hell is this? It's a young couple!"
Silver Wolf and Spah spoke in unison, confronting the figure.
The next second, Spall realized he was too excited, so he took a deep breath, waited for his emotions to calm down, squinted his eyes, and observed the other person.
He saw a girl who looked like a doll, with brown hair and wearing a beret with purple lilies on the brim.
However, what bothered Spah the most was that the other person was wearing a purple Lolita dress. Under the hem, her pink calves were exposed, and there were obvious signs of patchwork at the joints of her legs, making her look like a puppet.
So... it was Lady Black Tower?
The dots on the ground earlier looked like the footprints of the Black Tower doll... But how did she become invisible?
Spall muttered to himself, yawned, rested his fingers on his chin, and observed the Black Tower doll with great interest.
But Silver Wolf wasn't as relaxed as Spa.
Didn't we agree... that the Black Tower wouldn't be on the space station?
Silver Wolf still remembers that she came to the space station to be a thief, but now... she's run right into her master...
Silver Wolf raised his eyebrows, his legs slightly tense, like a hunting dog that had been provoked, his gaze fixed on Black Tower.
"Don't be impatient, you short Star Core Hunter. I mean no harm. I just want to play a game with you two."
"You...you?"
Silver Wolf paused slightly, her eyes darting around, and a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips. Even though she was in enemy territory, the mere mention of a game couldn't dampen her curiosity, despite her being a seasoned homebody.
"what game?"
Silver Wolf stared intently at the Black Tower doll, seemingly wary, but his body relaxed slightly, and he pricked up his ears, hoping to hear what was to come.
Spall noticed Silver Wolf's actions, realizing the other was interested, and immediately shook his head, inwardly thinking:
This thing... it's obviously a trap from the Black Tower. You stupid wolf, take the bait if you want.
Anyway, you invaded the space station first... whatever the outcome, it's none of my business!
Spatha, though unwilling for Silver Wolf to be captured, also did not want to protect her. He yawned and turned to leave.
But he's only just getting started...
"What? Afraid of losing? Want to run away without a fight?"
A disdainful voice reached Spall's ears. He turned his head and saw the silver wolf pursing its lips and letting out a snickering laugh.
"Afraid of losing?"
Spah stopped and frowned slightly: "I wonder who it was that lost to me in the game, a full three hundred and eighty-one times?"
"Wrong! I beat you 381 times." Silver Wolf narrowed his eyes and shook his finger.
You clearly lost!
"I win, you lose!"
"Poor wolf cub, it's even hallucinating..."
"Spare is still being stubborn!"
"..."
The two started arguing, and it went on and on. But before they could reach a conclusion, suddenly…
Buzz! Buzz buzz buzz!
Inside the cabin, alarms blared, and a crimson light flashed in the once-dark room.
Spall paused slightly, stopped arguing, and turned his gaze to see a switch in the Black Tower doll's palm. The doll's small mechanical hand was pressing on the switch.
Heh...hehe
The Black Tower doll's lips curled into a wicked smile. Spah felt that the smile was extremely eerie, and didn't seem human.
Just as he was wondering, the black tower suddenly stopped spinning, its pupils lost their luster, and its lips opened violently, revealing a dark mechanical throat.
[Anomaly detected! Anomaly!]
The doll's throat emitted a flat, monotone sound that didn't sound like the Black Tower at all.
[Excessive breeding energy! Excessive! True stinging insects detected! True stinging insects... Please eliminate them immediately!]
[To reiterate! A real stinging insect has been found! A real stinging insect...]
Spall heard the alarm's message, paused for only a second, then reacted, furrowing his brow and abandoning his lazy demeanor.
True hibernating insects... their reproductive life will multiply indefinitely, and if left unattended even in a confined space, something bad will happen!
Spah clenched his fists slightly and bent his legs slightly, trying to find the real stinging insect and have a go at it. But then he remembered that the insect was released by the Black Tower, so it must be related to the game. After a moment of contemplation, he spoke:
"Tell me the rules of the game."
"The rules are very simple."
Black Tower nodded, his pupils regaining their brilliance, and once again, the cool, genius-like voice rang out from his throat.
Spall saw that a hammer had appeared in the center of Black Tower's hand. She raised the hammer horizontally, aimed it at the air, and swung it hard.
when!
The sound of a gong rang out.
Suddenly, two rows of numbers appeared beside Spa. The top row was filled with the number [0000], and the bottom row had the same number.
Spare turned his head slightly and saw two rows of numbers appear behind the silver wolf's head, with no difference in content.
"This is the scoreboard. The top row shows your score for killing True Stinging Insects. The bottom row shows your opponent's score."
Black Tower said.
Yes, it's simple and easy to understand...
Spah nodded, about to say something, when a thought flashed through his mind, causing him to frown:
The scoreboard... a genius club like Black Tower wouldn't just make games haphazardly.
I'm afraid the Black Tower is going to use me and Silver Wolf as guinea pigs to collect experimental data...
Thinking of this, Spa felt a sense of displeasure.
He turned slightly, searching for the exit.
"The winner of the competition can take anything they want from the space station. Here is the list..."
Black Tower raised his hammer and waved it around like a magic wand, creating a whooshing sound.
Spah stopped and turned his head to see a projection screen suddenly fall into the air above the cabin.
The screen was densely packed with various substances, including food, ordinary equipment, and even hundreds of strange objects.
Black Tower extended his index finger, pressed it on the screen, and gently slid it down. The items, along with their descriptions, came into Spa's view.
Before long, Spah became interested in a strange object.
At first glance, it looked like an ordinary calligraphy brush, with a dark brown handle and even slightly wrinkled bristles.
However, what Spah cared about was the name of the pen:
[Name of the unusual object: Ma Liang's Brush.]
[Function: Manipulates memory, enabling drawn objects to become real. Applicable to both living and non-living things.]
When drawing, it's not necessary to understand the object's construction principles. However, the actual generated object may differ from what you imagine.
Those destined for memory and pleasure experience increased generation accuracy and gain control over generated objects.
In a way... it's an incorrectly evolved version of my ability to create moving objects, capable of accomplishing many things.
Spall muttered to himself.
"Wow! It's an Aether cassette!"
Just as Spah was pondering, he heard the howl of a silver wolf.
He turned his head, his face full of suspicion, and saw that the girl had shed her former aloofness, her eyes shining as she stared intently at the screen.
Spall followed Silver Wolf's gaze to the screen and saw a cassette tape covered in graffiti, exuding a punk-rode style.
