Chapter 123 Calculating the Eight Characters, Sending Extraordinary Treasures from the East
Chapter 124 Calculating Bazi and Sending Extraordinary Treasures from the East
When Hermione heard the word "sister," her heart was like a stormy sea.
Isn't Harry an only child?
Where did this older sister come from?
Has he found someone new?
What happened during my month-long trip?
Just as she was about to ask for details, Harry laughed and said, "Wonderful! Speak of the devil, and he appears! My sister is here!"
Hermione looked up sharply and saw a woman gracefully emerging from the top of the stairs. She wore a dark-colored silk dress embroidered with gold, and her figure was as slender as a willow swaying in the breeze; she was truly a woman of exceptional charm.
Several drunken lads, upon seeing this color, actually pursed their lips and started whistling.
Before the whistle had even finished, several Aurors under Scrimgeour grabbed him by the collar and threw him out the door like a chick.
As the men turned around, they all removed their hats and bowed to Harry, showing great respect, and not taking Harry's gold and silver for nothing.
Ron stared in disbelief. Was that an Auror? Did all Aurors listen to Harry?
Hermione's heart was pounding. Was this Harry's new sister?
Hermione was still in shock when she saw Harry already standing up and clasping his hands in a fist and palm salute: "Where are you going, sister?"
The woman in black smiled gently and said, "I'd like to try some ice cream at Florin's Ice Cream Shop."
As his gaze swept over the two of them, he said, "Hello, my name is Nagini."
"Oh, my name is Ron, Ron Weasley."
Hermione Granger.
Nagini blinked. "Ah, so you're the ones who became Harry's sworn brothers."
Hermione asked in surprise, "You've heard of us?"
"Of course, Harry often talks to me about you." Nagini bowed slightly and stepped back. "Please continue your conversation; I'm going to enjoy what little life I have left."
After she left the bar and disappeared into the street, Hermione frowned and asked in confusion, "What do you mean by 'one's few lives'? She doesn't look that much older than me, does she?"
Harry sighed, "Big sister, you don't know this, but Nagini is cursed and is already terminally ill."
After saying this, he explained in detail the origin of the Blood Curse and Dumbledore's instructions.
Upon hearing this, Ron and Hermione were struck dumb, as if struck by lightning. Hermione, unaware that her teacup was spilling, tilted and stammered:
"She...she can regress into an animal? And she's your pet?"
"Wait, so you two live together?"
"Oh, I just wish the school had some snake dens," Ron said, scratching his head. "She can't exactly live in the boys' dorms, can she?"
"Even if we don't mention that she's a girl—Banban would definitely be scared half to death by the snake she turned into."
He took the rat out of his pocket and placed it on the table. The gray rat was curled up in a ball and trembling incessantly.
"Look, Miss Nagini just passed by, and it's already trembling nonstop."
Hermione, still preoccupied with the question of whether or not they should live together, casually remarked, "Don't be silly, Ron. Miss Nagini didn't turn into a snake just now."
"You know, Banban has lived for thirteen years. Sometimes I even doubt that it is a mouse."
Ron fed Scabbers another supplement, saying worriedly, "He was always so energetic before, but he's become listless ever since we came back from Egypt..."
When the conversation turned to Egypt, the red-haired man slapped his forehead and urgently asked Harry, "By the way, Harry, do you know about Sirius Black's prison break?"
"We were extremely anxious when we heard the news in Egypt."
"If my dad hadn't known that the Aurors were there to protect your safety, we would have come back a month ago."
Upon hearing the name Sirius Black, Harry's eyes suddenly turned bloodshot, and he slammed his fist on the table, causing the cups and saucers to clang. The shrewd man jumped three feet in fright.
But he gritted his teeth and said, "Brother, don't worry! If that scoundrel dares to attack, I will cut him into a thousand pieces, skin him alive, and offer him as a sacrifice to the spirits of my parents in heaven!"
The scarred man's voice was like that of a demon, every word carrying a bloody aura, which terrified Banban so much that he shrank into a ball and trembled like a leaf.
Ron and Hermione exchanged bewildered glances, then asked in unison, "What does this have to do with your parents?"
Harry's steel teeth chattered as he recounted in detail the old story Dumbledore had told him that day in Godric's Hollow Cemetery.
But when he spoke of the most painful parts, his eyes nearly burst open, his voice like cold iron grinding against each other, every word stained with blood and tears.
Upon hearing this explanation, Ron and Hermione were struck dumb, as if by lightning, and both froze in their seats.
Hermione's face turned pale, and she swallowed hard. "Oh my god, Harry, that madman will definitely come after you again."
"I even suspect he'll break into Hogwarts."
Ron, still shaken, stroked his spotted fur and clicked his tongue, saying, "That Peter Pettigrew is really brave, daring to chase after that kind of guy all by himself."
Before he could finish speaking, Harry was so angry that he drank three glasses of wine in a row and slammed the glasses on the table.
"My Uncle Peter was a true hero, but alas, he too fell victim to that scoundrel's cruelty! Once I capture Sirius Black, I will surely disembowel him and rip out his heart to appease Uncle Peter's spirit in heaven!"
Upon hearing this, Ron felt the rats in his palms suddenly tremble violently as if he had malaria. He assumed that Harry's murderous aura had startled the rats and didn't take it seriously, continuing to stroke the fur to comfort himself.
Seeing Harry's anger rising, Ron wanted to help him calm down, so he quickly put Scabbers into his arms and rummaged through his bag.
But after rummaging around for a while, he suddenly pulled out a viewing mirror that looked like a spinning top, and laughed:
"Harry, this is for you."
"This is a spyglass I bought in Egypt. The shopkeeper said it would light up and spin if there were untrustworthy people around."
"But to be honest, I don't think this thing is very useful, because it just keeps glowing when I get it."
"But as a souvenir, it's quite nice."
Ron then tossed the peephole into the air to Harry, saying, "A belated birthday present. Happy birthday, Harry."
Harry caught the viewing mirror mid-air, examined it repeatedly in his palm, and suddenly recalled the mental technique Dumbledore had taught him, and couldn't help but sigh:
"This object is truly mysterious, but how do we define 'credibility'? How can an inanimate object reveal the human heart? What is the extent of its effect? Can birds and beasts be included among them?"
He bombarded Ron with questions like a machine gun, and after a moment's thought, Ron felt dizzy and almost got himself caught up in them.
"Hermione, what do you say?"
"Ahem, Harry's asking you something."
Hermione gave a perfunctory reply, then picked up her bundle and rummaged through it, suddenly pulling out an ancient book with an indigo cover, and said with a smile:
"Harry, look, this is a gift from a Chinese wizard."
Harry looked closely and saw that the cover read "Collection of Talismans from the Yuanfu Temple".
"I asked them about talismans, and they even wanted to teach me from the very basics. They were all amazed when they found out I could draw talismans, and they immediately asked me who I had learned from."
"I said Harry Potter taught me, but when they heard you'd never been to China, nobody believed me."
Ron listened intently, took another sip of his drink, and eagerly asked, "And then?"
"They've brought in a prophet," Hermione said in a low voice. "He looks just like Professor Dumbledore."
"And he even asked me about Harry's birthdate..."
Harry was taken aback. "Is this person perhaps calculating my birth date and time?"
"Ah! That's right!" Hermione clapped her hands. "That's the word!"
"He also wanted me to specify the exact time, but I don't know that."
"He pinched your fingers for a while and then said that you have a great affinity with them."
Hermione reached into her bag and said mysteriously, "And he also asked me to give Harry a gift."
Indeed: A rare Chinese treasure arrives from across the sea, Harry's birth chart reveals a mysterious secret. What treasure was ultimately bestowed? Find out in the next installment.
