Chapter 221 An Ever-Enriching Magical World

"Look! Look!"

The Daily Prophet acted much faster than expected. Lockhart and Lupin had just returned to school and arrived at the principal's office when an owl delivered a special edition of the Daily Prophet to them.

Grindelwald, looking at the information in the newspaper, exclaimed, "I've said it before, magic will infiltrate Muggle society in ways many people can't imagine—in mixed-race families, Muggle families, and the informed upper echelons of Muggle society. The Secret Law has far too many loopholes!"

Dumbledore listened to Lupin and Lockhart's story with a stern face, enduring Grindelwald's incessant chatter without uttering a word.

"I've been waiting for this day for so long!" Grindelwald's lips curled into a slight smile. "Peering into this intriguing future has been the greatest pleasure I've had surviving decades in Nurmengard Prison."

Dumbledore finally reacted, turning to look at him. "What are your thoughts?"

Grindelwald chuckled. "Your worst fears may have come true. Tom has started making contact with Muggle forces, which is quite unusual."

Voldemort was undoubtedly the leader of the "pure-blood supremacist" group, yet he began to seek cooperation from Muggle society.

But in reality, Muggle is a broad concept, and this group includes all sorts of people.

It could even be said that certain pure-blood families and certain Muggle factions are actually aligned on their stance against Muggle wizards.

"You could ask the Minister of Magic at the Magical Congress of the United States," Grindelwald chuckled. "The Purifiers over there seem to have never been dealt with?"

The Purge organization was extremely complex.

In the 17th century, European magical and non-magical populations had just begun to migrate to North America, and the magical world in the Americas was still small, scattered, and hidden.

That was a period of power vacuum in the wizarding system. There was no Wizarding Council, no Ministry of Magic, only criminals who couldn't make a living in their original countries or who had fled the legal sanctions of the Ministry of Magic in various countries. Over time, a wizarding community that was more inclined towards North American culture emerged.

Initially, they made a living by collecting bounties, serving various Muggle factions, armies, and even Puritans who carried out witch hunts. For money, they could even capture witches for these people.

When people want to study the history of magic in North America, the Purifiers are always an unavoidable topic. This group did all sorts of shady things over the centuries, and later went into hiding after two hundred years of fighting with the newly established Magical Congress of the United States.

They continuously intermarry with Muggles, abandoning their offspring with magical bloodlines, completely concealing themselves as Muggles within the vast Muggle population, making them impossible to eradicate.

But many people actually know that their wizard descendants have since gained official status, and many of them have entered magic schools and then taken up positions in organizations of all sizes, such as the Magic Council, hospitals, and schools.

Did these people really not receive support from the Purge?

No one knows how large the Purifiers are now.

What kind of influence does it have in both the Muggle and Wizarding worlds?

In this situation, it's fair to say that we're intertwined, and there's no way to resolve it.

Even many wizards who know of the existence of such an organization cannot explain what its ideology is.

Anti-Witchcraft?

Or is it about domination?

No, apart from the occasional serious incidents that come to light, it is difficult to know who these people are or where they are located.

Occasionally, some conspiracy theories circulate, claiming that the Magical Congress of Canada and all Muggle influence are now controlled by the Purifiers.

That would make it even more difficult to ascertain.

The development of Muggles can definitely influence the wizarding world. With the rise of the Americas, it is quite possible that the Purifiers' influence will begin to spread to the European wizarding world and Muggle society.

Now, Grindelwald says that Voldemort may have made contact with this organization, or perhaps other forces as well.

Hearing all this, not only Dumbledore, but even Lockhart, who was just watching the show, felt a headache coming on.

For a moment, only Grindelwald's malicious laughter filled the office.

Albus, oh Albus.

It's getting more and more difficult, isn't it?

You won't be able to take it, you'll need me to stand up for you, this is an unchangeable future.

Grindelwald, watching Dumbledore's grim face, continued babbling on and on, "Actually, if you think about it from another angle, the trend of integration between wizarding and Muggle society, viewed from the perspective of the Purifiers, seems to be a very good result, doesn't it?"

"You can't just say you have to destroy this organization because it's out of your control, can you?"

"The future is a war between Muggles and wizards? Ha~" Grindelwald chuckled. "Some people always oversimplify things, analyzing the combat power of Muggle technology versus wizard magic, or thinking that topics like pure-blooded and half-Muggle races aren't so clearly defined."

Dumbledore let out a deep breath, no longer wanting to listen to Grindelwald's nonsense, and simply looked at him coldly. "I need to find Peter Pettigrew and keep a close eye on things at school for me!"

Grindelwald raised an eyebrow. "I'll seize the opportunity if I get the chance."

The phoenix, an immortal bird, danced in the air, flapping its wings and stirring up a vast expanse of flames. With a whoosh, the flames burst forth and then vanished, and Dumbledore had disappeared from sight.

"Peter Pettigrew?" Lupin looked at Lockhart, somewhat taken aback. "He's still alive?"

Lockhart looked at him, somewhat taken aback. "You didn't know?"

"Me? I know?" Lupin looked somewhat bewildered.

"!!!" Lockhart's expression immediately turned strange. He exchanged a glance with Grindelwald, who seemed to be deep in thought, and couldn't help but have some guesses.

Lupin didn't even know Peter Pettigrew?

What exactly was Sirius doing?

Where is he?

This world has ultimately begun to take a different path from the magical world Lockhart was familiar with. Or, to put it another way, magical stories with Harry Potter as the main focus may not be able to clearly understand this world.

After all, Harry Potter was ultimately just the head of the Auror office at the Ministry of Magic in some country; his vision became far too narrow.

Perhaps this is what the magical world has always been like.

Perhaps the British Ministry of Magic is no longer the center of the wizarding world?

Hehe, who knows?

The evolution of mobile phones, the Internet, satellites, and the Muggle world will not cease to exist simply because Harry Potter does not exist or is not involved.

Lockhart felt that the world had become much more colorful!
